BOXES MAY BE RE-COUNTED.

Committee Called for Purpose of
Considering Matter.

There is a very strong probability of the primary ballots of two or more precincts being recounted by the executive committee or under its direction.
The recount of the Mooreville box has been asked by Judge D. H. Boyles, on account of some alleged irregularities, or other mistakes, in the count on footings of the managers of the election.
The presiding officer of the north Marlin box and some of the judges and clerks have requested a recount of that box, on account of some mistakes believed to have been unintentionally committed in the count and the record of the ballots.
     W. E. Hodges will request that the ballots in the Alto Springs box be recounted, basing his request on the belief that one ballot cast for him was not counted.  He may also request a recount of the Durango box.
Chairman John R. Southwell has called the committee to meet Thursday for the purpose of considering these requests.  The chairman states that he is desirous of giving the matters the closest investigation with a view to arriving at facts.
There is no charge or suspicion of fraud at any of the boxes, the errors, if they exist, being purely accidental.
