THE OBJECT OF PURCHASE
-----
Reasons Why a Public Park is Desired.
-----

The question has been asked as to the object of the proposed purchase of the Oltorf Lake and Park Property.  The question may be answered briefly as follows:
To secure a camping place for the Veterans, Sons of Veterans and Daughters of the Confederacy and their friends who may meet in annual encampment, the park to be free at all times to the citizens of Marlin and Falls county, and all visitors.
The park will be under the management of a board of trustees, said board to be elected from the membership of above named organizations.
Stands, boating and fishing privileges to be charged at rate to be fixed by the bord of trustees.
The communit(ies) having charge of the solicitations of (f)unds for this work are now circulating a list among the business men.
