MASS MEETING.

The business men of the city met last night to discuss the future welfare of Marlin.
E T Johnson was elected as chairman and I Z Harrison as secretary.  The object of the meeting as stated by L Z Harrison was to raise funds to advertise Marlin and the hot water.  Several of the men present discussed Marlin as a winter resort and all came to the general conclusion that to advertise Marlin would be a great step towards her up building.  Talks were made by B C Nettles, Dr Torbett, C C Chatham, A A Patrick, T A Cheeves and C T Curry.  Mr Chatham in his talk made a motion that a committee of seven be appointed and together with the directors to form plans and raise funds to advertise the hot water.
Mr. Nettles then said that the board of directors woudl meet at the Arlington hotel this afternoon at six o'clock to appoint the committee and arrange other business.
A motion was then made that the club should adjourn carried.
