THE MARLIN DEMOCRAT
Thirteenth Year - Number 44
Marlin, Texas, Thursday, June 26, 1902
-----
MARLIN WINS.
-----
By A Score Of 13 to 11.

Marlin won the game from Mart Friday afternoon on account of some very good batting and errors on the part of Mart.
Both sides made innumerable errors by the score it seems as if Mart made two more at any rate.
The game was of great interest to the crowd of rooters who "held down" the grandstand and who gused both teams - unmercifully.
Moore is a good pitcher but was hunt in the first part of the game and did not pitch so well after that.
Taylor and Jones did the honor for the Marlin team and as Taylor expressed it while in the box "How could they hit them when they couldn't see them."
