She Killed Her Husband.
-----

Last spring the domestic quarrels of Sadie Wallace, (col) and her husband was the talk of the colored folks near Mooreville where they lived.  Numerous quarrels, to which Sadie is said to have received knock down and dragout blows occurred.
After so long a time Sadie armed herself with a gun and went out to the field where her husband was at work and shot him dead.  Sadie and her friends claim that the shooting was in self defense, but unfortunatley for this theory, the evidence showed that the first shot took effect in the back and that the man fell forward on his face.  Then the woman put the pistol close to him and shot him twice more.
