ELECTION PROCLAMATION.

       It appearing to the court that a petition of 50 holders residing within the subdivision of Falls County, Texas, herein after described, by metes and bounds, having been filed with the County Clerk of said County on the 11th day of November 1902, asking that an order for an election be made to determine whether or not horses, mules, cows, jacks, jennetts, sheep and goats, shall be permitted to run at large in said subdivision of said County, which said petition having been presented to the Commissioners Court of Falls County, Texas on the 12th day of November, 1902.  It being at a regular term of said Court It is therefore ordered by the court that an election be held within the following described Territory as described in said petition, towit:  Being at a point in the Durango road on the line between the beats Four and Five, at the S E corner of the Martha Forbes tract of land and homestead; Thence N between Forbes and Jerry Baldwins places; Thence N between Baldwin's and Watkins places; Thence N between Sims and Hailey places to the Mooreville (sic) and Marlin road to the intersection of the Gurley road to the Cow Bayou bridge, situated near Ben Keirsey's and Higwinbotham farms; Thence from laid bridge down Cow Bayou to the Brazos river; Thence up the Brazos river to the League line on Palmo Island: Thence West along the League line to the S W Corner of the Grant land thence in a northernly direction up the east side of the Grant land to the Golinda road; Thence up the Golinda road to the Falls and McLennan County line; Thence in a Southernly direction along the Falls and McLennan County line to corner of Beat 8; Thence along the boundery (sic) line of Beat 8 to Deer Creek; Thence down Deer Creek to Hedrick's S W corner; Thence S to Durango Road; Thence with said road to place of beginnig; on 3rd day of January 1903.  The object of said election shall be to determine, whether or not horses, mutes, (sic), jacks, jennetts, cows sheep and goats shall be permitted to run at large (o)n the above described territory.  It is ordered by the Court that said election be held at the regular voting places within said subdivision and the polls shalle be opened at 8 o'clock a.m. and shall be closed at 6 o'clock p.m. on said da.  It is further ordered that the regular presiding officers at said voting places be and they are hereby appointed to hold said election all who are in favor af (sic)  preventing horses, mules, jacks, jennetts, cows, sheeps and goats from running at large shall have written or printed on their tickets the words for the Stock law those who oppose it shall have written or printed on their tickets the words Against the Stock Law.  The officers holding said election not herein specified shall conform to existing Laws regulating elections; and after the polls are closed shall proceed to count the votes, and within ten days thereafter make due return of all the votes east, to the County Judge of Falls County Texas.
