THE MARLIN DEMOCRAT
Twelfth Year - Number  (Missing)

DENNY.

Quite a number of people of other communities attended services at this place Sunday.

Miss Alma Bryan of Grady is visiting relatives and friend here this week.  Miss Alma attended school here two years ago and during her stay in our community won many friends who are always glad to have her visit them.

Quite a number of the patrons visited our school Friday evening.  We wish that more would do likewise.  There is nothing that helps a school more.  We have the best school that we have had for three years and we don't think we would exaggerate much to say that we have as good a school as we ever had.  About the only thing we need is another room to our house so we can have two teachers.  So patrons go to advocating another room.  We can build it.  So lets do it.

We notice that quite a number of candidates have already announced for office, and of course there are more to follow.  As they are, as a rule, very sympathetic for the farmers, we suggest that each candidate procure and ride a bicycle while out canvassing for votes. "A hint to the wise." in this case may not be sufficient, so we will just say that corn is selling at a dollar a bushel.

Willie Blount, we are sorry to say, is confined to his on account of the grippe.

Mr. Whitting and family of Postoak visited Mr. Jake Adam's family Sunday.

MIss Mollie Irving of Kosse visited friends and relatives here this week.
