    Farmers are improving the time and are getting ground in good shape, but many of them are short of teams on account of so many horses dying with blind staggers, nearly every case being fatal.

    Mr. R. J. Ellis, who has been confined to his bed for a couple of weeks, is able to be out again.

    Mrs. J. W. Sylvester of Coleman is here visiting friends and her old home.

    Joe Walinskey one of our merchants, has moved his stock of goods back to Waco.

    Carl Maben is telegraph operator at Crowder City, I. T., for the F. S. & W. railway.

    Give us the canal or give us new senators in the sentiment of all our people.
