A GOOD WORD FOR MARLIN.

The Democrat has received with the compliments of Edwin Chamberlain a copy of the report of the special committee of the Merchants' Association of New York on the natural resources and economical conditions in Texas.  The report is a very exhaustive one and covers all the resources of the state.  Of the Marlin hot water the reports says:  "Probably the most famous of the artesian wells is at Marlin.  The water is hot, and has various medicinal properities, and in consequence, the little city of Marlin, in Falls county, has become one of the great health resorts of the trans-Missouri country."
