CALLED ON THE COURT.

A committee of a dozen ladies of the Wednesday Social Club paid the county commissioners' court a visit Thursday morning.
The object of the visit was to discuss matters with the court pertaining to the sanitary condition of the court house and jail and the improvement of the court house yard.
The ladies were represented by County Attorney Frank Boyles, who presented to the court in a nice talk the object of the ladies' visit.  The court was asked to subject the court house and jail to a thorough cleansing and renovation and to see that it is kept clean hereafter.  This they said they would do and the request to improve the court house yard was considered favorably.
Mr. B. C. Nettles, president of the Marlin League, was also present as was Mr. T. A. Cheeves both of whom addressed the court in the interest of the movement.
The committee was more than pleased with the cordial and appreciative manner in which they were received by the court.
