City Marshal Coleman has been distributing notices to the owners of stores on Live Oak, Commerce, Winter and Island streets notifying the people of the provisions of the street cleaning ordinance recently passed by the city council.  The ordinance if generally compiled with, will result in a "cleaner Marlin."

Allen Bros. will have bullitins in front of their store next Saturday night and telephone communication will be had with all country boxes and correct returns will be placed on the board throught the night.

Joe Powell of Lott, the man that stopped the glass at Mooreville, was in the city Saturday.  Insteading of being an old man as some reported, Joe is a young man.  He is an ardent supporter of Mr. Henry and when he got up from being knocked down by the glass, he said:
"Hurrah for Henry."
