LOCALS

Miss Cleo Smith of Brookhaven, Miss., is visiting relatives in the city.

Alfred Martin is on a business trip to Denison.

Mrs. Edna Anding Flood of Brookhaven, Miss., is visiting Mrs. Anding.

Miss Myrtle Smith has returned from a visit to Alabama.  She was accompanied by her aunt Mrs. Rogers.

There is some agitation for the sinking of another artesian well.  The argument is advanced that if one well of hot water is good two would still be better.  Conservative business men take the position that in order to become a fully developed health resort that Marlin will need even more than two wells, and think that now is an opportune time to bore a second.

Messrs. J. W. Allen and H. G. Francks have returned from the reunion.  Capt. John says he barely found room to lie down and that was in the sun.

Hon. T. T. Connoly, of Falls county is in McLennan in the interest of his candidacy for Floater.  The district is composed of Falls, McLannan (sic), and Limestone counties, Falls and McLennan are intimate friends, politically and otherwise, and as there are two floaters to be elected we would be pleased (to) see J. S. Ainsworth, of Waco and Connoly of Falls, receive the nonimation (sic) and beleive (sic) they would make a good team.-McGregor Observer.
                                                               
D. W. McComb of Corpus Christi, is in the city.   

Captain Watson of Burton, is visiting his brother, Mr. A. E. Watson of this city.
