       Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Ward and W. A. Ward of Abilene are visitors to Marlin, guests at the Majestic.

       Brooks Pearson, a well known architect of Waco, accompanied by Mrs. Pearson, are visitors to Marlin, guests at the Arlington.

       The pecan market has taken a slump and some are selling as lowas 5 cents per pound.  The fall in the price is ascribed to the heavy yield.

       Mrs. C. H. Boedeker of Bowie is visiting her relatives, Mrs. Mentz and daughter, who are among the health seekers here from St. Louis.

       Mrs. W. E. Thrash, who has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Clark, left Thursday for a visit in Granbury before returning to her in St. Louis.

       Miss Hallie Westlock has returned to Austin after a visit to relatives here.  She was accompanied to Austin by her sister, Mrs. Nettles.

       The city has received a carload of sewer pipe that was ordered last April for use on the streets of the city.  It is the earthenware kind and its delay in getting here is due to the great demand for this particular kind.
