       J. M. Hord of Memphis is a visitor (t)o Marlin.

       H. J. Gill of Dallas is on a business visit to Marlin.

       W. T. Hyde of Cabot, Ark., is here for a short visit.

       C. T. James of Beldon, Miss., is a visitor to Marlin.

       J. L. Williams of Waco is in the city for a day or two.

       H. T. Myer of Shreveport, La., is a visitor to Marlin.

       W. H. Templeton of Austin is in the city on business.

       F. C. Pearson and wife of Wisconsin registered at te (sic) Fannin.

       Mrs. John Ward is visiting in Dallas and attending the fair.

       N. A. Dane, the railroad map advertising man, is here from Dallas.

       W. E. McCart of Hope, Ark., is registered among the late arrivals.

       E. A. Robertson of Taylor is sojourning in the city for a few days.

       Jno. W. Walker of Shawnee, Oklahoma, is among the visitors to Marlin.

       Mesdames S. S. Forbs and Walton Forbes of Stranger are guests of Mrs. Sam Peyton.

       W. M. Hanes of Winston, N. C., is a visitor to Marlin and is looking after business interests here.

       H. M. Bramstein, a well known commercial tourist of Chicago, is spending (a) few days in the city of hot water.

       Permits to wed were issued Thursday afternoon to
       C. H. Long and Miss Annie Belle Light;
       Frank Prezinsky and Miss Julia Buegeriage (or Buegerlage).

       J. L. Scarborough of Rosebud was in the city Tuesday.  Says the summer dust in that section has turned to mud.

       Miss Somervell is from four months' visit to New York, Toronto, Niagara and Washington.  She had a splendidly delightful summer with friends and relatives.
