Briefly Told

A number of Marlin friends, including former students at Baylor, attended the obsequies for the beloved "Prexy", Dr. S. P. Brooks, at Waco Friday afternoon.

Postmaster D. R. Emerson arrived early this morning from the postmaster's convention at Laredo.  A trip over into Mexico was a side feature of the meeting.  J. C. Eakin and son of Chilton and C. F. Wiebusch of Riesel also attended the convention and saw the sights in Mexico.
