Briefly Told

       There will be a congregational meeting at the Episcopal church at 7:30 o'clock this evening.

       The Philathea Class Christmas carol singing announced for tonight has been postponed until further notice.

       The cotton market closed today three points down from Wednesday's final quotations, New York January closing at 6:07.

       One hundred fifty-two gifts have been made and donated to the Christmas cheer box by art pupils of Miss Lillie Mae McKinley of the Marlin Elementary school.  These gifts consisted of dolls, rabbits, cats, dogs, monkeys and elephants made of gingham, oil cloth and other materials, while stick horses, doll furniture airplanes and boats were made of wood.
