      Falls county poll tax payments to December 1 totaled 454.

      Thirty-seven poll taxes have been paid to December 1 at the Marlin city collector's office.

      The Falls County 4 - H Club Girls' Council will meet at the Hilton hotel in Marlin at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon, December 5.

      The Falls county Farm Bureau will hold its regular December session at the courthouse in Marlin at two p.m. Saturday, December 5.

      Congregation meeting of the Episcopal church scheduled for Wednesday evening has been postponed to Friday night at 7:30 o'clock.

      The Blue Ridge Dairy Association will meet Monday night, December 7, in the schoolhouse of that community.  Talks by W. R. Poage of Waco, state senator, O. C. Copeland, dairy specialist, and R. M. Sherwood, poultry specialist of the extension service of A. and M. College of Texas, are slated.

      Mrs. W. W. Beasley of Tyler is the guest of her sister, Mrs. W. E. Derden.

      Rev. and Mrs. W. H. Matthews and Miss Minnie Eskew have returned from a visit in Brownwood.

      Mrs. T. D. Harrison has returned to her in Ennis after a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Derden.
