BRIEFLY TOLD

 

St. John’s Episcopal Choir will meet at the church at 7:45 o’clock this evening.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bean have returned from a motor tour of various sections of Texas and Mexico.

 

Mrs. George Bailey of Hartford, Miss, is a Marlin visitor, having been here a number of times in previous years in company with her husband, the late Geo. Bailey of Houston, well known Texas newspaperman.

 

Leonard Cobb of Reagan is in a Marlin hospital for treatment of a fractured knee suffered early in the week when an automobile in which he was riding near Houston went into a ditch on a curve.  He also sustained cuts on the face from shattered windshield glass.

 

Mrs. I. F. Betts, Jr. and two-year old daughter, Eugenia, of Dallas, are guests in the of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Betts.  They were accompanied to Marlin Wednesday by Mr. Betts, who is with the Federal Reserve Bank at Dallas and was enroute to South Texas points on business.
