St. John's Episcopal choir will practice at 7:45 o'clock tonight.

A total precipitation of 15-100 of an inch was registered by rain falling in Marlin today.

The Annie Carter Bartlett Bible Class will meet with Mrs. J. W. Bartlett at 7:30 o'clock tonight.

B.C. Curry announces in this issue for re-election second term of precinct No. 1 subjcet to the action of the democratic primary election.

Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Meyer and Misses Elizabeth, Alice and Annie Meyer were called to San Antonio on account of the illness of Miss Frieda Meyer, who underwent an operation Monday and was reported resting well today.

     Judge W. S. Hunnicutt, director of the Marlin High school band, left today for Fort Worth to attend the 1932 convention of the Texas Bandmasters Association.  One of the matters to receive attention is fixing the date for the annual state band contest in which Marlin High school won first place in its division at Temple last year.
