       Choir practice will be held at the First Baptist church at eight o'clock tonight.

       There will be a rehearsal for the Episcopal choir at eight o'clock this evening.

       L. B. Chambers went to Temple today to attend a district meeting of store managers.

       The Amona Class of the First Baptist Sunday School will hold its June meeting tonight at eight o'clock in the of Mrs. Morris Petteway.

       T. H. Jarrell of San Antonio, vice president and cashier of the Commwealth Bank & Trust Co. of San Antonio, owners of the Arlington hotel property in Marlin, is visiting here.  Mrs. Jarrell has been in Marlin recently for the baths.

       Senator Tom Connally went to Waxahacie this afternoon to address a joint meeting of the Lions and Rotary Clubs following which he was slated to confer veteran medals on a number of members of the Waxahachie Pythian Lodge.

       Miss Lolie Smith, who has been a guest in the of Mrs. F. M. Oakes of Marlin, left Wednesday afternoon for Bangor, Maine, where she will do research work in the University of Maine.  She came here from Manhattan, Kans., where she taught in the state A. and M. College during the past year.
