Capt. C. T. Cade and daughters, Misses Margaret and Katheryne, of New Iberia, La., are visitors to Marlin.  Capt. Cade was for years the sheriff of the New Iberia parish and also held other positions of trust and honor.  He now owns High Island off the Texas coast on the gulf of Mexico and spends much of his time there.  He and the Misses Cade are delighted with their visit to Marlin.

-----

Tom L. Turner, who travels for Bonnie Bros. of Louisville, is in the city.  Tom is traveling over a wide section of the state and says there there is a very general desire among saloon men to abide the provisions of the new liquor law.
