Briefly Told

       Rev. and Mrs. Ben West have as their guests Mrs. West's mother and sister of Palestine and her nephew, Roscoe Page of Lufkin.

       Mrs. Barnes Adams has as guests her mother, Mrs. Jno. Byars of Hillsboro, a sister, Mrs. Chas. Bennett of Corpus Christi, and a niece, Miss Lujeane Elldridge of Hillsboro.

       Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Keeling have arrived from Lubbock where he taught school during the 1930-31 session.  He will return to Lubbock during the latter part of the summer to study at Texas Tech.

       Joe Turner of Marlin, principal of Cedar Springs school during the past session, has been elected Lott High school principal for the 1931-32 term.  He will study at the University of Texas in Austin this summer.

       Dan Stallworth, a son of Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Stallworth of Waco, former Marlin residents, has been elected athletic director of Quanah High school for the 1931-32 session.  Dan is a former Marlin High school football star.

       Sanford Eskridge, who has been directing an orchestra and teaching in the Monahans school, has arrived for a visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Eskridge, before going to Dallas, where he will be a member of the faculty of the Southwest Band Conservatory this summer.
