BLEVINS BUDGET

To the Democrat:

The farmers in this section have been all smiles since the big rains have ceased, and taking advantage of the fine weather the past two weeks, and will (missing) with their work.

Mrs. Young Caldwell visited Grandpa (missing) Bowers Saturday
(missing) and returned home.

(missing) Litteral has moved back (to) Holdenville, I. T., to his old
(ho)me here.  We gladly welcome him back, as there is no place like home, as almost every one who leaves here, will some time in the future return to old Falls county.

Jennings and Pass are having their new gin painted and preparing to turn out the fleecy staple this fall, as some say that cotton will be fifteen cents this year.

Mesdames Calvery and Ida Bennett of Cego visited Mrs. (missing) Saturday.  Mrs. (a large block of this article missing)

..miles south of Blevins at the tabernacle on July 6, to be conducted by Rev. Manny of Penial, Texas.  The meeting will continue ten days. Let every one come and take part of the Lord's work.

       A. E. Battle, Sr. and Mrs. Lizzie Hay left Monday for Lometa to (visit) relatives and friends.

Mrs. Georgia Bowers and her daughter and Miss Will Bowers went to Eddy Saturday.

Mr. R. E. L. Pass is visiting her mother at Cego this week.

The people of this community have had the school house and Woodmen hall repainted, which adds greatly to the looks of our little town.

PERRY POINTERS

To the Democrat:

The cotton hoe, a big straw hat and a large red handerchief, are the the three most essential things for the farmer since it has quit raining.

Our fields are in a much better condition now than they were several weeks ago.  The noon hour nap is now taken with ease.

A fourteen year old boy of Aug. Kuehn died last Thursday afternoon.  The death was caused by typhoid fever.  Mr.  Kuehn resides on Geo. Bletch's farm and is a very inindustrious farmer.

Ernest Wolf is an '07 graduate of Blinn college at (B)renham.  Mr. Wolf is a young man of an unusual ability, which he easily demonstrated in his teachers and classmates by making the second highest grade that was ever made in Blinn college.  He also captured the scholarship given by that institution which goes towards (d)efraying a large expense at (s)tate university.  We expect (g)reat things from him.

Mr. and Mrs. W. Neibuhr of (B)renham attended church last Sunday.  The friends of Mr. Neibuhr (are) glad to know that Marlin water is agreeing with him.

Now since the firemen's picnic at Marlin has been called off the people of that town will avail themselves of the merry making at Mr. Eckerts park, July 4th.  A six mile drive to a good picnic is not too much for anyone.
