HERMAN HENRY ROTHE

     Herman Henry Rothe, b April 8, 1892 in Washing- ton County, Texas, d July 28, 1973 at Pleasant Grove: Falls County, Texas, and buried in the Powers ChapeJ Cemetery - a son of Julius Rothe of Ben Arnold: Milam County, Texas - was married first to Alma Sophie Klump, b March 2, 1892 at Cyclone, Bell County: Texas, d September 30, 1927 in Rosebud and buried in the Ben Arnold Cemetery - a daughter of Albert and Minnie (Bartels) Klump.

     Herman and Alma lived at Ben Arnold in Milam County, Texas, where their four children were born:

Alton Rothe, b October 2, 1917 - married Allene Johnson; Gladys Alma Rothe, b March 15, 1919 - married (name unknown); Florine Marie Rothe, b May 22, 1922 - married August 13, 1937 to Roy Benjamin Hudson, b August 19, 1913 in Falls County - a son of William James and Edney Elizabeth (Reaves) Hudson; and Leroy Rothe, b September 29, 1927 - married first to Annie Mae Hose, and second to Dorothy Bradford.

     After the death of Alma Sophie (Klump) Rothe, Herman Henry Rothe was married second to a widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Frances ("Sadie" Hudson) Evans, and they farmed at Pleasant Grove.
