ROBERT WILLIAM KUPPER

     Robert William Kupper, b April 18, 1920 at Gainesville, Cooke County, Texas - was a son of Joseph Kupper, b 1874 in Rulzheim, Germany, who came to America in 1889, and his wife, Rosea (Hofer) Kupper, b 1880 in Fingal, North Dakota. The Hofer family had moved to Muenster, Texas, and then to Lindsay, Texas, where Joseph and Rosa were married. Robert was the youngest of their seven children: John C. Kupper, Michael J. Kupper - who died February 14, 1945 in a German Prisoner-of- War Camp; Andrew G. Kupper, Raymond P. Kupper, Amanda (Kupper) Fuhrmann, Ann (Kupper) Bump, and Robert William Kupper.

     Robert William Kupper was married on November 20, 1946 in Muenster, Texas to Florene Margaret Endres - a daughter of Werner Endres, b 1887 in Doon, Iowa, who was married in 1910 in Muenster, Texas to Adelaide Luke, b 1890 - in Leopold, Missouri. Florene had six siblings: Arthur J. Endres, Gilbert F. Endres, Paul M. Endres, Urban J. Endres, Mary Elizabeth (Endres) Fuhrmann, and Della Rose (Endres) Gorman Laviolette.

     Robert William (called "Bob") and Florene moved to Falls County, Texas, where he is in Soil Conservation, and she is employed in the Marlin High School Administration Office. They have six children - including a pair of twins - and are members of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marlin. Their children are all graduates of Marlin High School, and are:

     Christopher Joseph Kupper, Phillip Werner Kupper, Douglas Robert Kupper - a twin, Doyle William Kupper - a twin, Marlise Susan (Kupper) Binetti and Eric Michael Kupper.
