JAMES NEWTON HUDSON

SURNAMES: HUDSON, REAVES, VANDERFORD, DRAKE, TOUPS, DUNCAN.

     James Newton (called "Doc") Hudson, b November 6, 1920 near Rosebud, Falls County, Texas - a son of William James and Edney Elizabeth (Reaves) Hudson, of Alabama and Montgomery County, Texas, respec- tively, was married on December 3, 1943 to Mary Adline Vanderford, b September 4,1922, d January 19, 1978 at Baytown and buried in Powers Chapel Cemetery in Falls County, Texas. James Newton and Mary Adline resided in Baytown during World War II, where their three children were born:

     James Harrell Hudson, b February 28, 1947- married Cynthia (maiden name not known); Robert Lee Hudson, b December 4, 1948 - married Glenda (maiden name not known); and Carolyn Sue Hudson, b January 17,1956 - married first to Ronald Drake, and married second to Randy Toups.

     After Mary Adline (Vanderford) Hudson died, James Newton Hudson married second in April 1979 to Alene Duncan.
