     James Nelson Hudson, b April 25, 1858 in George Anne, Alabama, d September 1, 1933 and buried at Powers Chapel Cemetery in Falls County, Texas - was a son of John Thornberry Bolton and Cynthia Ellen (Nichols) Hudson.

     James Nelson Hudson married in Alabama, ca 1877, to Martha Jane Lee, b April 20, 1859 in Alabama, d April 8, 1925 and buried in Powers Chapel Cemetery. James Nelson was a Primitive Baptist Preacher, who came to Cameron in Milam County, Texas in May 1889 - moving to the Pleasant Grove area of Falls County in 1908. The children of James Nelson and Martha Jane (Lee) Hudson were:

     James William Hudson, b July 26, 1878 in Alabama, d December 5, 1956 - married in Milam County, Texas on December 24, 1901 to Edney Elizabeth Reaves.

     Martha Ellen Hudson, b September 25, 1880 in Alabama, d April 20, 1976 - married Laurence Commodore Evans.

     Mary Frances ("Mollie") Hudson, b March 9, 1883 in Alabama, d May 14, 1958 - married William Riley

Birkes.

     John Bolton Hudson, b December 26, 1887 in Alabama - married Girlie Mae Asbury.

     Eli Newton Hudson, b June 12, 1891 in Milam County, Texas, d February 26, 1936 - married Mary

Marvella Smith.

     Elizabeth Frances Hudson (called "Sadie"), b September 14,1893 in Milam County, Texas, d October 10, 1984 - married first to William Henry Evans, and second to Herman Rothe.

     David H. Hudson, b November 8,1899 in Milam County, Texas, d 1984 - married Mary Ellen Gresham.

     Daniel Lee Hudson, b February 13, 1902 in Milam County, Texas-married Jessie Merle Minkert.

     James Nelson and Martha Jane (Lee) Hudson lived and farmed at Pleasant Grove, where he also preached. She died after a fall from her porch, and James Nelson lived with his eldest son, William James, at the time of his death.
