Howard, b Abt. 1815, Troy, New York and Mary Louise Blount, b Abt. 1826, in South Carolina, d unknown.
Robert married Melissa Ann Scallons, b March 1852, d March 1886 in Milano, Milam County Texas. The marriage was either in Washington or Grimes County Texas in 1872. This union produced six children
Edward Walter Howard, b January 31, 1873 in Washington County, Texas, d March 10, 1944 in Waco, McLennan County, Texas. Edward was a Police Officer for a majority of his live in Waco, Texas. He married Alice Catherine Hamilton, b January 1880m in Calcasieu, Louisiana, d unknown.
Mittie Frances Howard, b Abt. 1874, Grimes County, Texas, d unknown. She married E. Jack Lavender, b Abt. 1872 in Georgia. ôJackö Lavender was a traveling merchant, based in Rosebud, Texas. He provided limited provisions to Falls County farm wives, buttons, needles, cloth, etc. He loaded his merchandise on special wagon and traveled from farm to farm. He was very welcome as the farm wives were unable to travel to town very often.
Agusta L. Howard, b August 28, 1876 in Anderson, Texas, d August 15 1970 in Burnet, Burnet, Texas. ôGusö Howard, as she was known, married William A. Lanier, b July 7, 1870, d December 12, 1933, Rosebud, Texas, very late in her mid forties. This union produced no issue. After her husbands death in 1933, she bought the of Jack Lavender and Mittie in Rosebud and live in Rosebud until the late sixties.

Bessie Long, b October 15, 1886 in Anderson, Grimes County, Texas, d April 19, 1966 in Houston, Texas. Robert and his wife Bessie are interred at Woodlawn Cemetery, Rosebud, Texas
