CLIFFORD ELIAS HARRISON
Clifford Elias Harrison, b July 19, 1902 - a son of John T. and Katherine
C. (Laird) Harrison - was married first to Thelma Amerine, b 1910 in Tarrant
County, Texas, d there in 1933 while Clifford was working for the railroad. They
had one son:
Clifford Elias Harrison, Jr., b December 7,1928 in Fort Worth, Texas,
married in Reno, Nevada on April 21, 1953 to Jean Wakefield, b July 28, 1928 in
lone, California - a daughter of Leland E. and Doris (Amick) Wakefield - natives
of California. They have one son, Clifford Leland Harrison, b February 13, 1954,
who is a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. Clifford, Jr. retired from the
U.S. Navy in 1974 with the rank ofl-C-1, and he and Jean now reside in Marlin,
Texas.
Clifford Elias Harrison, now "Sr." - and his sister, Benetta, were reared
by their Uncle Henry W. and Aunt Carrie (Laird) Harrison, after the death of
their father and remarriage of their mother. During the 1913 flood the community
of Highbank, where they lived, was so flooded that the children had to be
rescued in a boat.
Clifford Elias Harrison married second to Mrs. Clara (Clawson) Singer;
and after her death, he married third to Mrs. Beatrice (Woodland) Davison, b
November 18, 1899. They reside in Marlin, Texas.
