Floyd Johnson Finley, b. January 21, 1862, d. July 15, 1939 and buried in Calvary Cemetery in Marlin, Texas-was a son of A. A. and Nancy Catherine (Johnson) Finley.

On April 22, 1898, Floyd married Catherine Pearl Moseley, b. September 22, 1881 at Hearne, Robertston County, Texas, d. June 4, 1911 and buried in Hearne-a daughter of James Lycurgus Moseley, b. May 8, 1848 in Benton, Mississippi, d. October 18, 1915 at Houston, Texas, and his wife, Sue Lenora (Dotson) Hughes Moseley, b. December 20, 1848 at Kosciusko, Mississippi, d. December 25, 1914 and buried in Hearne. James Lycurgus Moseley was a descendant of Robert Moseley, a Lieutenant in the American Revolution.

Floyd was a railroad engineer by profession, but quit the railroad to raise his minor children after the death of his wife. He farmed at Malakoff, later moving to Marlin, where he worked at the Arlington Hotel. After his retirement, he lived with his daughter Sybil, and son-in-law, William Wesley Hunnicutt, Jr.

Floyd Johnson and Catherine Pearl ("Katie Pearl" Moseley) Finley were the parents of six children:

Nina Geraldine Finley, b. March 9, 1899, d. March 23, 1934-married on May 30, 1925 to Fred C. Repper and they had one son, Fred C. Repper, Jr., b. November 27, 1927. Fred C. Repper, Jr. married Dorothy June Cameron and they had four children (a) Pamela Lynn, b. October 17, 1953 (b) Cynthia Anne, b. August 15, 1956 (c) Melina Kaye, b. August 14, 1958 and (d) Fred Charles Repper III, b. July 8, 1960.

Sue Lenora Finley, b. March 10, 1901, d. October 12, 1921. Never married.

Sybil Mae Finley, b. February 27, 1903-married January 26, 1924 to William Wesley Hunnicutt, Jr.

Dan Alton Finley, b. July 12, 1905, d. April 29, 1970. No issue.

Peter Moseley Finley, b. October 13, 1907, d. August 1972 in Houston, Texas-married May 4, 1934 to Lois Smith. No issue.

Baby Royal, b. and d. April 22, 1898. [Note: This date can't be right.]
