Woodrow Wilson Fillip, b. January 21, 1919 at Otto, Falls County, Texas-was a son of Joe Willie Fillip, b. September 15, 1885 in Czechoslovakia, d. May 7, 1971 in Falls County, Texas and his wife, Angelina (Bordozsky), b. October 3, 1894 at Schulenburg, Texas, d. Marcy 22, 1972 and both buried in Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin, Texas. Angelina's parents were also natives of Czechoslovakia. Woodrow's parents moved from Otto to East Marlin, Texas when he was five years old, farming at the present location of Marlin High School.

On March 9, 1939 in Falls County, Woodrow Wilson Fillip married Mary Evelyn Cohn, b. May 29, 1917 in Falls County-a daughter of Charles and Mary Jo (Reed) Cohn. In 1945, Woodrow was employed in Marlin by the Lone Star Gas Company, from which he is now retired.

Woodrow and Evelyn are members of the First Presbyterian Church, where he serves as a Deacon, and they are the parents of three children:

Darrell Lane Fillip, b. May 29, 1942-married Melenna Ann Maulthrop. Darrell has been in the U.S. Air Force, serving in Florida for a number of years, and is now retired as a Lieutenant Colonel and residing at Robinson in McLennan County, Texas. Darrell and Melenna have three children: Melissa Ann Fillip, Colby Lane Fillip, and Lindsay Fillip.

Joel Ray Fillip, b. September 13, 1946-married Pamela Criswell. He works for Wallace Business Forms and lives in Marlin, Texas. Joel Ray and Pamela have two children: Chad Ryan Fillip, and Leah Kathleen Fillip.

Donna Kay Fillip, b. August 22, 1950-married Danny Daniel-a son of Garland and Eloise (Smiley) Daniel of Marlin. They have two children: Josh Fillip Daniel, b. 1980, and Megan Beth Daniel, b. 1983.
