LLOYD DALE COX

 

 

     Lloyd Dale Cox (called "Dale"), b August 8, 1934 near Thornton, Limestone County, Texas - is a son of James Riley and Eunice Earl (Hudson) Cox. Dale farmed a few years before moving to Pasadena, Texas, and later to Deer Park, Texas.

     On April 18, 1952 at Alto Springs, Falls County, Texas, Dale was married to Dorothy Jean Railsback, b June 27,1934 - a daughter of Arvil William and Lola Lee (Williams) Railsback. They had four children:

     Jerry Dale Cox, b March 3, 1953 at Marlin, Texas - married Pamela Carol Ross, b April 8, 1954 - a daughter of Kenneth Byron and Ellen Jane (Rogers) Ross. Pamela is a descendant of the Mayflower immigrant, John Alden, and was approved for membership in the Society of Mayflower Descendants on November 1, 1976 - being a fourteenth generation descendant. Jerry is a vocational teacher in Marlin High School, and Pam is a bookkeeper for HEB Grocery in Marlin. They have three children: James Dale Cox, b July 14, 1971; Jennifer Lynn Cox, b December 11, 1973; and Michael Don Cox, b November 9, 1976. They reside in Reagan, Texas.

     Terry Lynn Cox, b August 27, 1954 - married to Annette Ruthelene Tardy, and had one daughter, Jolene Janelle Cox, b March 6, 1982. They all reside in Houston, Texas.

     Anthony Gene Cox, b February 3, 1961, d February 5, 1961, and buried in Kosse Cemetery, Limestone County, Texas.

     William Byron Cox, b March 12, 1963 - is not married, and resides with his parents in Reagan, Texas.

     Dorothy Jean (Railsback) Cox is very active in genealogical research, and has been a member of Falls County Historical Commission. She was a Founder of Falls County Historical Museum.
