ERCIE HAMILTON COX

     Ercie Hamilton Cox, b December 30, 1887 at Mineola, Texas, d February 1, 1962 and buried in Calvary Cemetery - married Mary Lucinda Hunnicutt, b October 5, 1891 in Marlin, Texas, d June 22, 1959 and buried in Calvary Cemetery, - a daughter of William Wesley and Jessie (Robertson) Hunnicut. They settled in Marlin in 1943, where Ercie retired as a printer at The Marlin Democrat, and Mary owned and operated Cox Floral Company. Ercie and Mary had two children:

     Ercie Hamilton Cox, Jr:, b January 9, 1914 in Marlin, Texas - married January 9, 1942 to Viola Marie Sibley, and had four children: Donna Elizabeth Cox, b April 23, 1943 who married Donald David Waterbury on August 20, 1966 and had one child, Curtis Hoyt Cox, b September 8,1970; Mary Jane Cox, b May 6, 1945 in Marlin, Texas (a twin) - married December 5,1964 to Lynnwood Wray Thomas and had William McSwain Thomas b July 19, 1965, Mark Hamilton Thomas b August 14, 1969, and Matthew Wray Thomas b November 6, 1970; E. Virginia Cox, b May 6, 1945 in Marlin, Texas (a twin) - married August 21, 1965 to Jack Ward Steele and had Patrick Wayne Steele b May 6, 1966, and Cinda Marie Steele b April 8, 1968; and Michael LaGrand Cox, b June 1, 1961- married November 1, 1980 to Susan Lynette Hankina, and has Cayce Michele Cox, b May 4, 1981. Ercie Hamilton Cox, Jr. serving the in World War II, from 1943 to November 1945. He died July 15, 1982.

     Mary Jane Cox, b May 24, 1914 in Marlin, Falls County, Texas, d April 22, 1944 and buried in Calvary Cemetery in Marlin.
