OF ELGIN LOCATION: In the Perryville community. From Elgin, go southwest on FM 1704, past CountyRd. 75 on the right and before County Rd. 52 on the
left. The cemetery will be on the left
side of the road behind the McShan Memorial Gardens
Cemetery. Hog Eye was the name of the old railway station. Surveyed 9/28/98. The old road used to
be behind the cemetery so the “prominent families” that used to be in the
front of the cemetery, are now in the back. It was difficult to
read most of the headstones. Many are
