Location:
Take Hwy 71, west from Bastrop to FM 969. Go approzimately
3.5 miles, turn left, go .7 miles up the graveled road to the gate on the left
that reads: Posted Erhard Ranch no trespassing. The small white tombstone was
discovered when a bulldozer was clearing the ridge. The marker rests against
a tree and is approximately 200 yards west of the old Bennight
home.
