Additonal Notes: Family came to U.S. aboard the ship "Emulous," landing
at the port of New York on June 29, 1827. They immediately travelled to
Concord Township in Geauga (later Lake) County, Ohio, where they engaged
in farming. Sometime prior to 1850, the family moved a short distance to
Leroy Township, Lake County, Ohio, where they resided until about 1851,
when they moved on to Henry County, Illinois, settling near the town of
Kewanee.
