Funeral services for the late John Bachman will take place from the late home at 12:30 Wednesday afternoon and at 1:30 at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Union Corners. Interment will be in Scott's cemetery.
The death occurred at Bogart Sunday night.
The deceased was aged 56 years and 10 months.
Surviving at home are his wife, four sons, John, August, Charles and Alfred, one daughter, Miss Alma Bachman, and four sisters, Mrs. Albert Miller, Mrs. John Scherer, Mrs. A. J. Delor and Mrs. August Ohly.

Mrs. Ella Fitzgeralds Ballah

Mrs. Ella Fitzgeralds Ballah, 85, widow of James H., and a resident of 1534 Harrison Street died Sunday at the Sharpe rest home after a lengthy illness.
Surviving are two daughters, Mra. Murton Dunning, Columbus, and Mrs. Harry Kourt, Holbrook, Pa.; three sons, Walter, Columbus and Earl and James, both Sandusky; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Byron Fitzgeralds, Halifax, Mo., and Andrew Fitzgeralds, London, O.
Mrs. Ballah was preceded in death by her husband February 25, 1904 and a son, Horatio, February 25, 1950.
Friends may call at the Frey Funeral Home, where services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. J. A. Griffith, officiating. Burial is to be in Castalia Cemetery.

Mrs. Sophia Mahler Bateman, 72, a resident of Washington Street.
Surviving are five daughters, Caroline, at home; Mrs. Charles Eisenhauer and Mrs. Luther Kuns, both of Castalia and Mrs. Irvin Weis and Mrs. John Kessler, Jr., both of Sandusky; three sons, Carl and Parker, at home, and Francis, both of Castalia; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Dennis Bunn, Grand Rapids, Mich., and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, on March 22, 1942 and a son and daughter.
Friends may call at the Frey Funeral Home, where services wil l be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. C.J. Renner, officiating. Burial wil l be in Castalia Cemetery.

Services for Mrs. Sophia M. Bateman were held Wednesday afternoon at the Frey Funeral Home, the Rev. C.J. Renner, officiating. Burial was in Castalia Cemetery. Pallbearers were Sigmund, Walter, Joseph and Charles Mahler, Henry Emerick and Basil Perry.

Death Claims Mrs. Behrens, Berlin Heights, February 25
Mrs. Caroline Hindebrandt Behrens, 51, widow of Wi lliam Behrens, died in her home today.
Surviving are one son, Henry of Cleveland; two grandchildren; three brothers, Charles and Arthur Hildebrandt of Berlin Heights, and Frank Hildebrandt, and four sisters, Mrs. Ida O’Rourk and Mrs. Milo Weaver of Berlin Heights; Miss Ann Hildebrandt of Cleveland and Mrs. A. Daniels of Ceylon Junction.
Definite funeral arrangements have not been made but services probably will be conducted Friday afternoon with burial in the Union Corners cemetery. The F. F. Hinman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The death of William Behrens, Oxford Township farmer, occurred at his residence at 10:30 a.m. Monday, after a long illness. He was aged 54 years and was a life long resident of Erie County, having died in the same house in which he was born.
Surviving him are his widow and one son, Henry, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Louis Rau of Huron and Mrs. William Schick of Norwalk; two brothers, John Behrens of Huron and Henry Behrens of Norwalk and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at the residence, Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 with services at the Union Corners Church at 2 o’clock. Rev. Theo J. C. Stellhorn will officiate and burial will be made in Union Corners Cemetery. Mrs. R. Rawle of Milan prepared the body for burial.

Miss Cora Louise Biemiller, 80, last member of one of the city's older families and daughter of the late Andrew and Louise Biemiller, died at the home, 312 E. Adams-st, Thursday noon following an illness of several months.
A member of Grace Episcopal Church, Miss Biemiller is survived by a grand-nephew, Andrew Biemiller, of Milwaukee, former congressman from Wisconsin, and a grand-niece, Miss Helen Biemiller, Utica, N.Y.
Miss Biemiller was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Friends may call at the residence, 312 E. Adams-st, after noon Friday and where services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. Hunsdon Cary, Jr., officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. The Lutz Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Berlin Heights – Private services were held this morning at the Hinman Funeral Home for Gary Lynn Bellamy, infant son of Mrs. and Mrs. Harold Bellamy. The infant son, born Sunday evening at Memorial Hospital, Sandusky, is survived by a sister, and four half-sisters, two half-brothers, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lippus, Huron. Services were conducted by the Rev. L. Ross Carothers, of Huron EUB church, and interment was in Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Harold Bellamy, 40, mother of six children, died M onday in Memorial Hospital, Norwalk.
She was a member of the Congregational Church here and its CCC club, Berlin Temple of Pythian Sisters, local PTA, and Girl Scout troop committee. Surviving are her husband, Harold, Ohio Public Service Co., foreman at Vermilion; four daughters, Nina, Bonna, Patricia, and Linda; two sons, Richard and Robert; mother, Mrs. Ida O’Rourke, brother, Terrance O’Rourke, and sister, Mrs. Agnes Sikorski, all Berlin Heights, and father, Walter O’Rourke, Ceylon.
The body is in the Hinman Funeral Home where friends may call until Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. (DST) when services will be held in the Congregational Church, the Revs. Grafton Thomas and Donald Hart, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Berlin Heights: Funeral services for Mrs. Myra Blake were held from the Hinman undertaking parlors Thursday afternoon at two o’clock.

John C. Block, 52, Soldiers Home resident, World War 1 veteran and Pittsburg native who served with the 136th Field Artillery died Friday night. Surviving is a brother, William, Youngstown. The Keller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements to be announced later.

Benjamin Bott, 79, Company C, 162d regiment, O.V.I., admitted in 1906 from Canton, died at the Ohio Soldiers' and Sailors' home last night.

Miss Nora Henrietta Boyd, 53, who lived at 1032 Perry Street, died in Good Samaritan Hospital Friday evening after a two weeks illness.
She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, and the D. and D. Club of the church.
Survivors include her aged mother, Mrs. Kate Boyd, at home; two brothers, William and Arthur Boyd, both of Sandusky, and other relatives.

Sandusky, Jan 18, 1917- Charles Bremer, 87, died at his home here this afternoon.

Mrs. Lena Roesch Bremer, 69, widow of Albert J., died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon at her home, 211 Lawrence Street.
Mrs. Bremer was a member of Eleanor Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Anna Huber, Sandusky, and Mrs. William C. Schmid, Brecksville, Ohio, and a brother Jacob A. Roesch, San Bernardino, California, Mr. Bremer died November 21, 1946.
Friends may call at the Charles J. Andres Sons' Funeral Home after 7 o'clock tonight, where services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Richard Belsan officiating.

Rites for Mrs. Lena R. Bremer, widow of Albert J., were held Wednesday afternoon at the Charles J. Andres Sons' Funeral Home, the Rev. Richard Belsan, officiating, Cremation followed.

The third suicide by hanging in Erie county in three successive days was discovered early today when the body of Charles. Schuster, 30, a farmer, was found suspended by a rope from the rafters in his barn at Ceylon. A farm hand made the discovery. Two nights ago John P. Brown, 22, of this city, hanged himself, Charles Seigling, a fisherman, hanged himself. Schuster it is believed, had become despondent over his ill-health.

Warren Earl Brown, 62, World War 1 veteran and resident of the Soldiers' Home, died Friday afternoon at the Home Hospital. A Native of Grafton, West Virginia.
Mr. Brown served as a private with the Medical Corps and is survived by his widow, Mary, Cleveland.
The body has been removed to the Melbourne Funeral Home, Cleveland, where services will be Monday. Burial will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Mayfield Heights.
The Keller Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.

Private services are to be held Tuesday afternoon at the Frey Funeral Home for the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bumphus, 610 Third Street, who died early Monday at Good Samaritan Hospital. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Surviving in addition to the parents are grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bumphus, Clifton, Tennessee, and Charles H. Jackson, Bessemer, Alabama.

Esther A. Burr, 100, of Sandusky, died Friday afternoon, April 13, 2007, in Providence Care Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness. She was born March 10, 1907, in Ceylon, Ohio, and was a 1925 graduate of Berlin Heights High School. She was also a graduate of Sandusky Business College. Esther was employed by Lake Shore Electric Company in Sandusky and Cleveland, prior to her retirement.
She was a member of the Columbus Avenue United Methodist Church, Sandusky and her hobbies included gardening, cooking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by one daughter, Helen (Orlan) Kuns of Castalia; two grandchildren, Martin L. (Laura) Kuns of Highland Heights, Ohio, and Kay A. Smith of Oak Harbor; four great-grandchildren, Justin and Brett Smith, and Martin A. and Vincent Kuns; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Richard Daniels of Vermilion and Mrs. Luther Gowitzka of Sandusky; and a special niece and nephew, Albert and Ruth Summers of Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel B. Burr, in 1970; her parents, Ashbil and Elizabeth (Hildebrandt) Daniels; one great-granddaughter, Vanessa Kuns; one sister, Doris Summers; and five brothers, John, Nelson, Charles, Robert and Richard Daniels.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Monday in Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Private services for the family will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.

Samuel Burr, 88, former resident of Castalia and retired farmer, died at his home, South Columbus Avenue, early Saturday after a lingering illness.
Survivors include one brother Sylvanous Burr, Castalia; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
