Robert Davis Stacey

September 19, 1939 ~ March 13, 2019

Robert D. "Bob"Stacey, 79, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly late Wednesday afternoon, March 13, 2019, at his home.

Born on September 19, 1939, in Vienna, GA the son of Jack and Dorothy Miriam (King) Stacey. Bob was a 1958 graduate of Sandusky High School. He was a veteran, having served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1958 - 1964. Bob had worked at the Ferrell-Cheek Steel Company for 20 years and later at the Ohio Veterans Home for 17 years, before retiring in 2004. After retiring, he still volunteered his time for several years at the Ohio Veterans Home. Bob loved fishing, but he truly enjoyed the art of photography, and especially taking pictures around the Sandusky local area.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #83, the V.F.W. Post # 2529, the Sandusky Eagles AERIE #444 and a life member of the AMVETS Post #17.

Bob is survived by a daughter, Jacquelyn (Jeff) Bedolla of Atlanta, GA; a granddaughter, Gabriana Stacey of Columbus; three sisters, Carol Jordan, Dorothy (John) Bruner and Robin (Paul) Bruner; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend of over 30 years, Luana Napka of Castalia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Sharon Stacey.

A private family memorial service will be held.

Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
