Beatrice Elizabeth (Provenzale) Siegel

August 19, 1927 ~ January 21, 2019

Beatrice E. "Bea" Siegel, 91, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Monday afternoon, January 21, 2019, at the Providence Care Center, in Sandusky.

Born on August 19, 1927, in Bellevue, OH the daughter of Samuel and Carmella (Cappaton) Provenzale. She had attended the Bellevue High School. Bea had worked at Pic-in-Pay (later known as Topps) in the meat department, for 30 years, before retiring. In her earlier days, she had golfed in many local leagues, had belonged to a variety of card clubs and was quite a bowler, having bowled for many years in the S.W.B.A. and in 1977 was City Champion.

Bea was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Altar Rosary Society, the I.A.B. Ladies Auxiliary (past officer), the Bunco Club and a member of the United Commerical Workers, where she had been the union steward.

She is survived by a son, Robert "Rocky" (Jill) Niehm, Jr. of Sandusky; a daughter, Judy A. (Harold) Schneider of Sandusky; six grandchildren, Laurie (Lee) Taylor, Kristy (Zayne) Treasure, Andrea (John) Clay, Michelle (Matt) Lemerond, Brian (Dahlia) Niehm, and Angela (Jim) Edgington; 11 great-grandchildren, Deloid, Kendra, Sarah, Kourtney, Trey, Jessica, Jake, Justin, Rachel, Samuel, William, Audrey, and Cole; a sister, Josephine Reddinger of Sandusky; a great-great-grandson, Greysen: a son-in-law, Andrew "Andy" (Shirley) Kacsanek of Sandusky; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bea was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 32 years, Paul W. Siegel (April 6, 2012); a daughter, Becky Kacsanek; a son, Scott A. Niehm; five sisters, Clara, Teresa, Rose, Mary and another sister at a young age, Teresa; and five brothers, Brother Charles Dominican Order, Sam, Bill, Joe and Jim Provenzale; and a brother-in-law, Dean Reddinger.

Visitation will be held on Saturday morning, January 26, 2019, from 8:30 am until time of prayers at 9:45 am at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Fr. Jeff Walker officiating. It was her wishes to be cremated following the services. Burial will be held later in the spring at Meadow Green Memorial Park, in Huron.
