Dianne R. (Walbeck) Miears, 78, of Huron, passed away at her residence Friday, May 12, 2017.
She was born February 25, 1939 in Cleveland and has been a longtime resident of Huron.
Dianne loved her family and enjoyed hosting holidays, especially Christmas. She quietly served many groups through contributions and personal service. She was a very good mother, grandmother, and friend to her children and grandchildren.
Dianne loved spending time in her home away from home at Sunset Beach Apartments in Key Colony Beach, Florida. When at home in Huron, Dianne spent many hours grooming and caring for her horses.
She is survived by her husband, Don, married for 40 years; four daughters, Susan Bauermiester, Kim Ohly Binford, Kelsey Ohly Simon, and Leslie Jeanne Bixby; five sons, Duane Charles Ohly, Robert Ohly, James Miears, Jr, Jay Allen Miears, and Thomas Miears; 11 grandchildren, Alex, Robert, Samantha, Dane, Kamryn, Taylor Ohly; and Alexis Miears, Lincoln Miears, Josh Miears/Gallager; and Rebecca Bixby, and James Dennis Bixby; a great granddaughter, Kennedy Binford; and a brother, George Walbeck.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Genevieve (Andrews) Walbeck.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 16th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main Street, Huron.
A private family service will be held.
