Charles Patrick Fresch

February 1, 1938 ~ April 20, 2019

Charles P. "Charlie" "Patsy" Fresch, 81, of Sandusky, passed from this life on the Vigil of Easter, late Saturday evening, April 20, 2019, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH.

Born on February 1, 1938, in Sandusky, OH the son of Joseph Edward and Jenny (DeLuca) Fresch. Charlie was a veteran having served honorably in the U. S. Marine Corp. and had worked for Ed Feick Construction, as a carpenter, for over 30 years, before retiring.

He was known as a master meatball and gnocchi chef having made them for his family every Christmas Eve through out the years. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, golfing, wine making, card playing and helping with family projects. He was a good friend to more people than we can mention who enjoyed his positive attitude, sense of humor, and love of this life.

Charlie was an active member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and the AMVETS Post # 17.

He would like to simply be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather to all God placed in his care, especially his late loving wife, Brenda Joyce (Moore) Fresch, of 42 years, who passed on June 3, 2007; his children; Cindy (Guy) Geiger, Tammy (Dan) Beeman, Chuck Fresch and Monica (Troy) Vaccaro; his grandchildren, Fallon (Tommy) Mitchell, Lyndslee Geiger, Taylor (Brandon) Urso, Guy Geiger, Patrick (Elizabeth) Beeman, Kaynin (Matt) Cooper, Chloe Beeman, Kelsey Fresch, and Chas Fresch; and 13 great-grandchildren; his loving sisters, Rose LaRose and Shirley (Vincenz) Meyer of Sandusky; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Fresch of Aurora; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his loving wife, Brenda and parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters and brother, Mary Bacni, Alma Everett, Viola Baker, Theresa Moots, and Vincent P. Fresch; his brothers-in-law, Carl Bacni, Dick Everett, Jack Moots, James A. Meyer, Salvatore "Tootie" LaRose, Harry T. "Flash" Baker; and a niece, Judy Hillenbrand.

It was his wishes to be cremated. The family will receive family and friends on Monday morning, April 29, 2019, from 9 am until time of the Mass of Resurrection at 10 am at Holy Angles Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Avenue, Sandusky. Fr. Jeff Walker officiating.

A private family interment service will be held in Meadow Green Memorial Park, in Huron, OH. Military honors will be conducted by the AMVETS Post # 17, the American Legion Post # 83 and the "Marines Forever."

Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
