Robert Thomas Foye

June 5, 1929 – January 2, 2019

Robert Thomas Foye, 89, residing in Sandusky, OH, formerly of Quincy, MA and Watertown, MA, passed away early Wednesday morning, January 2, 2019 at the Ohio Veterans Home.

He was born June 5, 1929 in Quincy, MA to the late Robert C. and Mabel G. (Kappler) Foye. He served honorably as a Sergeant in the United States Army from 1951-1953. An avid follower of all forms of transportation, he was a member of the New England Bus History Association. Taking photos of buses and keeping records of bus numbers was one of his hobbies. He worked for many years in purchasing and procurement. He enjoyed researching anything that interested him and would dive deep into those subjects. His knowledge on a large number of varied topics made him a great conversationalist.

Robert is survived by his children, David R. Foye of Salem, NH, Susan L. Bischof of Coulterville, CA, Margery E. Yetman of Woodinville, WA, Elizabeth A. Miller of Litchfield, NH and John R. Foye of Bedford, MA; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Margery A. LeTourneau of Springfield, VA; 2 nephews and other relatives.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory of Sandusky, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.
