Voter Records

There are four sources for voter registration records in Cuyahoga County.

• Board of Elections Voter Registration Records 1907-1908 for Cleveland at WRHS.

• The Board of Elections in Cuyahoga County created and maintained a file of naturalized registered voters. This collection can be found at the Cuyahoga County Archive. This collection is useful because it can point you to where your ancestor was naturalized if they were not naturalized in Cuyahoga County. Information provided includes: name, address and ward of the voter, date and location of the voter's naturalization, native country, age when naturalized, and the volume and page number of their naturalization. Years covered are 1850-1970. FamilySearch has the naturalization index collection on microfilm here.
• Family Search has voter registrations for 1893-1899 in a browsable format. Click on browse and scroll down to find these records.
• Cuyahoga County Board of Elections Website
• Current Ohio Voter Registration at VoterRecords.com Gives name, when first registered, address, and dates voted with party affiliations. Site gets information from the state site but is easier to use and offers more information.
