Sarah Mazzola and Megan Quinlan, two board-certified genetic counselors with the Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Personalized Genetic Healthcare will provide a general overview of common conditions in individuals with Jewish ancestry such as Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer Syndrome due to BRCA mutations. Cetina, Cuyahoga County Archivist, will talk about the Cuyahoga County Archives, identifying the records in the holdings of the Archives that will assist in documenting the history of a home, or other significant structures, in the City of Cleveland Heights. Dr. Cetina will include in her talk the nature and availability of the Auditor’s Maps, Treasurer’s Tax Duplicates, real estate appraisal cards, and deeds, and explain how these sources can be used in relationship with one another to create a chain of ownership and establish a date of building construction.
