Sunday 4 February 2018 Meeting of Jewish Genealogy Society of Cleveland will hear Mitchell Balk, Mt. Sinai Health Care Foundation President. “Whither Jewish Hospitals-the Mt. Sinai Legacy” Mt. Sinai Health Care Foundation President Mitchell Balk will discuss the history of Jewish-sponsored hospitals in the United States, with a focus on Cleveland’s Mt. Sinai Medical. Balk will explain how the medical institution has had a grantmaking Foundation formed from its sale in 1996 and the people who fondly remember the history of the hospital.
