HINER, BERTRICE [November 29, 1912 - February 17, 1998]
    Schuyler, NE - Bertrice E. Hiner, 85, of Schuyler died Tuesday, February 17, 1998, at Alegent-Memorial Hospital in Schuyler.
    Services are 10:30 am Saturday at Svoboda Funeral Home South Chapel of Schuyler with the Rev. Donald M. Hurray officiating. Burial is at Schuyler Cemetery.
    Visitation is 8:30 - 10:30 am Saturday at the chapel.
    Mrs. Hiner was born November 29, 1912, in Schuyler to Albert C. and Ethel (Furr) Longwith. She was a 1930 graduate of Schuyler High School.
    She married Wayne Hiner July 6, 1936, at Papillion. She worked for Western Bell Telephone Co. in Schuyler until it closed and she retired.
    Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Leslie Brooks of Lincoln; two brothers, Frederick Longwith of Fremont and Richard Longwith of Hasting; and one grandson.
    She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack, James and Chester; and one sister, Evelyn.

HINER, WAYNE [April 7, 1916 - March 8, 1998]
    Schuyler, NE - Wayne Hiner, 81, of Schuyler died Sunday, March 8, 1998, at Alegent Health-Memorial Hospital in Schuyler.
    Services are 10:30 am Saturday at Svoboda Funeral Home South Chapel in Schuyler with the Rev. Donald Legacie officiating. Burial is at Schuyler Cemetery with military honors conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
    Visitation is 8:30 - 10:30 am Saturday at the funeral home.
    Mr. Hiner was born April 7, 1916, at Murray to William J. and Lettie (Parker) Hiner. He graduated from Plattsmouth High School.
    He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
    He married Bertrice Longwith July 6, 1936, at Papillion. He was an electrician at Schuyler Electric and the Schuyler Department of Utilities until his retirement.
    He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and International Order of Odd Fellows, all of Schuyler.
    Survivors include one daughter, Leslie Brooks of Lincoln; and one grandson.
    He was preceded in death by his wife February 17, 1998; one brother, Ralph; and two sisters, Katherine and Jessie.
