DIED
GROTELUSCHEN--Henry A. Groteluschen, 85, of 2707 27th St. Columbus, died Wednesday at Columbus Manor.
    Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in rural Leigh, with Rev. Nathan Houfek officiating. Services will be preceded by a family prayer service at 1:45 p.m. Burial is in the parish cemetery.
    Visitation is after 2:30 p.m. Friday at Gass-Haney Funeral Home in Columbus and 11:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
    Mr. Groteluschen was born Jan. 16, 1899, at Grossen Kneton Germany the son of Herman and Anna Tohle Groteluschen. He attended schools in Germany and married Helena Cohrs Sept. 2, 1927 in Germany. Mr. Groteluschen lived in Germany until 1922, and then returned to Germany in 1927 to be married. Upon returning to the U.S. he began farming in 1929 south of Leigh, living there until 1968 when he moved to Columbus. He served in World War I in Europe for two years and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, serving on the church council.
    Surviving are two sons, Henry Jr. of Columbus and Karl of Leigh; two daughters, Lorraine (Mrs. Leonard) Vacha of Columbus and Mrs. Luella Daniels of Lincoln; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Frieda (Mrs. William) Kuhr of Otega, N.Y.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in Feb. 1983, a brother, a sister, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
    Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Memorial Fund.

DIED
DITTMER--SILVER CREEK--Services for Vanda F. (Mrs. Fred H.) Dittmer, 72, of Clarks, are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic Church in Clarks, with Rev. Paul J. Fangman officiating. Burial is in Clarks Cemetery.
    Visitation is after 4 p.m. Monday at McKown Funeral Home in Silver Creek. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
    Mrs. Dittmer was born March 9, 1912 at Loup City, the daughter of Stanley and Mary Galus. She attended Valley County and Duncan schools. She married Fred H. Dittmer May 4, 1949, at Clarks and lived in the Clarks area, where the couple farmed, all her married life. She was a member of St. Peter Altar Society and St. Peter Church in Clarks.
    Mrs. Dittmer died Saturday at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.
    Surviving are her husband, Fred of Clarks; a brother, Henry Galus, and a sister, Lottie Galus, both of Osceola.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother and an infant sister.

DIED
TORCZON--Raymond F. Torczon, of Canyon, Texas, formerly of Duncan, died Monday.
    Services are Friday at Canyon, Texas. Schooler-Gordon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Torczon was born and raised in the Duncan area. He was the son of the late Frank and Veronica Torczon, and the brother of Ken Torczon of Columbus.

SOKOL--John Louis Sokol Sr., 97, of Columbus Manor, died Tuesday at Columbus Community Hospital in Columbus.
    Services are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Bonaventure Church in Columbus, with Rev. Russ Monzu officiating. Burial is in the parish cemetery.
    Visitation is after 2 p.m. Friday at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. A 7:30 p.m. rosary will be recited Friday at the funeral home.
    Mr. Sokol was born Oct. 18, 1886, at Pilsno, Poland, the son of Louis and Anna Kudron Sokol. He attended Platte County rural schools and married Tillie Cieloha. Following her death he married Minnie M. Czarnick April 18, 1942, at Columbus.
    Mr. Sokol was a resident of Platte County all of his life. He was a retired carman of Union Pacific Railroad. Mr. Sokol was a member of St. Bonaventure Church.
    Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Lou Loseke and Barbara (Mrs. DeWayne) Nicolas, both of Columbus; a son, John L. Jr. of Gerald, Mo.; eight grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, including Helen Weisenfluh of Columbus.

KORECKY--[SCHUYLER] Joseph Korecky, 84, Schuyler, died Tuesday at Senior Citizens Home in Schuyler.
    Services are at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Schuyler, with Rev. Don Shane officiating. Burial is in Schuyler Cemetery.
    Visitation is after 10 a.m. Thursday at Svoboda Funeral Home in Schuyler. A 3 p.m. Guild rosary will be recited Thursday at the funeral home.
    Mr. Korecky was born March 30, 1900, at Clarkson, the son of Anton and Ann Houfek Korecky. He attended Colfax County rural school and married Anna Brichacek Sept. 18, 1928, at Heun. Mr. Korecky lived in Colfax County and farmed, until moving to Schuyler in 1966.
    Surviving are two sons, Stanley of Mount Prospect, Ill., and Marvin of Schuyler; a daughter, Mary Ann (Ervin) Bos of Clarkson; 13 grandchildren, four great grandchildren; a brother, Ed of Clarkson; and three sisters, Ida Malena of Clarkson, Anna (Raymond) Swanson of Omaha and Tillie Bos of Clarkson.

KRAMER--[FULLERTON] Bernice Jean Kramer, 60, of Fullerton, died Monday at Litzenberg Memorial Hospital in Central City.
    Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church at Fullerton, with Rev. Randolf Nord officiating. Burial is in Las Animas, Colo.
    Viewing and visitation is 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at Palmer Funeral Home in Fullerton. The casket will be closed at the service.
    Mrs. Kramer was born May 9, 1924, at Casper, Wyo., the daughter of Joseph and Myrtle Krohn Rogers. She spent her childhood in Las Animas, Colo., and attended Las Animas High School and Colorado State College.
    She married Dr. B. W. Kramer Jan. 29, 1946, at Las Animas, Colo. The couple lived in Ames, Iowa, and moved to Fullerton in 1951, where Mr. Kramer was a veterinarian.
    Mrs. Kramer was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Ladies Aid and Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.
    Surviving are her husband of Fullerton; two sons, Jack of Hastings and Dr. Jim of Fullerton; three daughters, Sally (Mrs. William) Green of Hoyt Lakes, Minn., Susan (Mrs. John) Jones of Virginia Beach, Va., and Sandi of Richmond, Va.; her mother, Mrs. Joseph Rogers of Las Animas, Colo.; a sister, Sally (Mrs. Fred) Irons of Bella Vista, Ark.; and three grandchildren.--[submitted by Marge Galus Sandlier--no relationship to deceased]
