BERCHTOLD--Mrs. Alfred Berchtold
    Mrs. Alfred (Marion) Berchtold, 85, 101 E. Parkway, died Tuesday at Clarkson Hospital, Omaha.
    Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Grace Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Philip Harris officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Friday at Gass-Haney Funeral Home.
    Mrs. Berchtold, daughter of Edward A. and Matilda M. (Christianson) McMillin, was born Sept. 3, 1895 in Angelica, Wis. She moved to Green Bay, Wis., when she was 17 years old and resided there until 1964 when she moved to Columbus. She received her education at a business college in Green Bay.
    She married George F. Clarke Nov. 18, 1922 in Milwaukee and he died Nov. 18, 1962. On June 2, 1964 she was married to Alfred Berchtold of Columbus. Berchtold died Jan. 27, 1975.
    Mrs. Berchtold was a former member of Rebekahs and the American Legion Auxiliary and served actively in National Federation of Republican Women. She also was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and the Ladies Guild.
    Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Donald G. (Charlotte) Egger, Omaha; one son, George E. Clarke, Janesville, Wis.; five grandchildren; two stepsons, Wallace Berchtold, Winter Haven, Fla., and Carroll Berchtold, Columbus; four stepgrandchildren; and 9 great-stepgrandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; a sister, Esther Young, Gillette, Wis.; a brother, Grover McMillin, Detroit, Wis.

BONK--Richard L. Bonk
    Richard L. Bonk, 49, 371 14th Ave., died Wednesday at work.
    Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Church, with the Rev. Laurin Buzynski officiating. Burial with military services, will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
    Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at McKown Funeral Home. Holy Name rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. and the parish rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
    Bonk, son of Charles and Anna (Kuta) Bonk, was born Oct. 27, 1931 in Platte County. He was educated at St. Anthony Grade School and Columbus Senior High. He married Mary Anne Zywiec Aug. 29, 1955 at St. Anthony Church and resided in the Columbus area all of his life. He retired from the Columbus Fire Department after 21 years of serivce and, at the time of his death, was employed by Columbus Hydraulics.
    He served in the U.S. Army for two years and was stationed in Germany. He was a member of St. Anthony Church, Holy Name Society and Columbus Volunteer Fire Department.
    Survivors include his wife, Mary and daughters, Mrs. Dana (Joyce) _____, Edmond, Okla.; Mrs. Jeff (___) Collins, Omaha; Sandy Bonk, Omaha (?), Lisa Bonk, Columbus; sons, ___, Robert and Rodney, all of Columbus; mother, Mrs. Anna Bonk, Columbus.
    Brothers, Stanley, Ray, John, Tom and Joe, Columbus; sisters, Mrs. John (Deloris) Wulff and Mrs. Mino ____.

BREZINA--Frank Brezina
    Frank Brezina, 78, of rural Bellwood, died Thursday morning in Butler County Hospital.
    Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Presentation Catholic Church, Marietta, with the Rev. Paul Rutten officiating. Burial will be in Schuyler Cemetery. A wake will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday in the church.
    Brezina was born in Linwood Nov. 16, 1902, son of Anton and Christine Juranek Brezina. He was married to Matilda Tajchman. He was a retired farmer.
    He is survived by his wife; three brothers, Edward Brezina of Linwood and Louis and Tony Brezina of Omaha; two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Blanch) Kubic of Cedar Bluffs and Mrs. Lloyd (Olga) Sternad of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

KOOPMAN--Mrs. Arlene Koopman
    Mrs. Vernon (Arlene) Koopman, 48, of Fremont, died Sunday at an Omaha hospital. She was a former Duncan resident.
    Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Salem Lutheran Church, Fremont, the Rev. Jack W. Berry officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. today at Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont.
    Mrs. Koopman was born Aug. 26, 1932 in Columbus to Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Ernst. She lived in Duncan until marrying Vernon Koopman July 24, 1960 in Columbus. She had worked at Fleischer Manufacturing in Columbus.
    She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church.
    Survivors include her husband; two sons, Kevin and Brian of the home; two daughters, Beth and Rhoda of the home; her mother of Columbus and one brother, Leroy of Madison.

BEHLE--Walter F. Behle
    Walter F. Behle, 71, of Route 3, Columbus, died Sunday at the Columbus Community Hospital.
    His funeral will be Tuesday, beginning with a 1:45 family prayer service. A church service is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, with Pastor H.M. Rathkamp officiating. Burial will be in the Columbus Cemetery.
    Behle was born Oct. 15, 1909 in Platte County. He attended Emmanuel [sic] Lutheran North School.
    Laura Heiden became his bride on Jan. 3, 1947 at Frieden Lutheran Church, Lincoln, with Rev. Herman Goede officating [sic].
    The couple lived north of Columbus, where he was a farmer and livestock raiser.
    He was a member of the Coop, and Trinity Lutheran Church.
    Survivors are his wife, Laura of Columbus; sister Nettie Behle of Columbus and brothes [sic] Herman and Wilbert, both of Columbus.
    He was preceded in death by brothers Fred of Fremont and Carl, who died in World War II; two sisters Mary Behle and Mrs. Henry (Pauline) Heins of Columbus.

KUSH - Helen S. Kush, 86, of Columbus Manor and formerly of Tarnov, died suddenly Monday in Columbus Community Hospital.
    Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Michael Catholic Church, Tarnov, with Rev. Leonard Ficenec officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
    Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Duesman Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
    Miss Kush was born in Tarnov Sept. 30, 1894, daughter of Joseph and Agnes Varnas Kush. She attended St. Michael School and was a lifelong Tarnov resident. She was a member of St. Ann's Alter Society and St. Michael Catholic Church.
    She is survived by three brothers, Frank and Stanley Kush of Columbus and Ted Kush of Loveland, Colo., and four sisters, Pauline Kush and Mrs. Al (Sophie) Schemek, both of Tarnov, Gladys Kush of Nebraska City and Mrs. Dominic (Eleanor) Gryzwa of Omaha.

MORRISON - Victoria C. Morrison, 80, of Kearney died Sunday at Mt. Carmel Home, Kearney.
    Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan with the Rev. Flavius Czuba officiating. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
    Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, Lincoln, and 9:30 a.m. until service time Thusday at the church.
    Mrs. Morrison, daughter of Thomas and Kathryn Barnas Kush Sr., was born in Polk County. She was married to Coy E. Morrison.
    Survivors include one son, H.T. (Bud) Morrison, Lincoln; a brother, Thomas Kush, Omaha; and a sister, Kathryn Czuba, Columbus. She was preceded in death by her husband.
