KOEBBE - Mrs. E.E. (Ethel) Koebbe, long time resident of Columbus, died Saturday morning in Behlen community Hospital after a lingering illness.
    Services were held at 10 a.m. today at Gass-Haney Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joseph Calhoun officiating. Her body was then transferred to Chelsea, Mich., for 11 a.m. Tuesday rites at Steffan Funeral Home with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
    Born in Lima, Mich., she attended the University of East Lansing, Mich., and was a life member of Olive Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, at Chelsea. For many years she was active in Red Cross work.
    She married Dr. Ezra Edwin Koebbe, Sept. 4, 1917 in Toledo, Ohio. He preceded her in death, Jan. 21, 1962, and their only daughter, Marcy C. Hester, died in 1956.
    Surviving are a grandson, Robert Hester, and a son-in-law, Dr. H.C. Heiser [sic], both of Upper Montclair, N.J., and one sister, Mrs. Elmer Wmamns; of Chelsea, Mich.
    Memorials may be directed to the Platte College library fund.

JEFFRYES - James J. Jeffryes, 67, Columbus, died Saturday at Behlen Hospital.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Palestine Baptist Church at Genoa, with the Rev. A.J. Greer officiating, and burial will be in Palestine Cemetery. The body is to lie in state after 3 p.m. Tuesday at Ramaekers Funeral Home in Genoa.
    Born at Swanton Feb. 12, 1906, he was the son of Charles and Emma Witt Hermsmeier, and was educated at Bassett. He was married to Lillian Rankin June 18, 1930, at Columbus.
    Mr. Jeffryes resided on the Welin farm north of Genoa for 43 years, moving to Columbus about a year ago. A farmer, he had also served as a justice of the peace and on road and school boards. He was a member of Palestine Baptist Church.
    He is survived by his wife; three sons, James A. of Honolulu, Hawaii, Robert L. of Denver and Dan of Columbus; two daughters, Mrs. William G. Van Pelt of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Gordon Demarest of Kremmling, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; brother, Ervin Westmore of St. Edward; and sister, Daisy Jones of Columbus.
    He was preceded in death by an infant son and his parents.

LOHR - Mrs. W.A. (Viola) Lohr of Omaha died Monday morning at Bergan Mercy Hospital there. She was a former Columbus resident.
    Rosary will be at 8 p.m. today at Larkin Mortuary, South 24th Street, Omaha. Services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 48th and Grover.

BAZER - Mrs. Evelyn Bazer, 47, of 3920 20th Street, died today in Behlen Community Hospital after a year's illness. She was owner and operator of Evelyn's Coffee Shop.
    Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Isidore Catholic Church with the Rev. Francis Price officiating, and burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Rosary service will be 7:30 p.m. Friday at McKown Funeral Home, where the body will lie in state after 1 p.m. Friday.
    Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles G. Kuta, she was born July 9, 1926 in Columbus and spent her lifetime here. She attended Columbus schools and was a member of Eagles Auxiliary.
    Surviving are six children, Richard and Robert Bazer of Omaha, Mrs. Gary (Mary) Lewis of Lincoln; Mrs. Paul (Catherine) Liekhus, James and Larry Bazer of Columbus; and 14 grandchildren.
    Also surviving are her parents of Columbus; two brothers and four sisters, Mrs. Bernard (Irene) Staub and Charles P. Kuta, both of Farmington, Mich., Mrs. Jerome (Virginia) Kudron, Louis Kuta, Mrs. Edward (Betty) Zywiec and Mrs. Daniel (Alice) Tschantre, all of Columbus.

KOERBER - A longtime St. Edward businessman, Keith Leo Koerber, 56, died Thursday evening in Boone County Hospital, Albion. He had been in failing health for some time.
    Services will be conducted by the Rev. Duane Lukes at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Edward Catholic Church, with burial in St. Edward Cemetery.
    Visitation hours at Miller Funeral Home, St. Edward, will be 2-5 and 7-8 p.m. Sunday. Rosary services will be Sunday 3 p.m. Alter Society; 7 p.m. Knights of Columbus; 8 p.m. parish.
    Mr. Koerber operated the Farmers Union Grocery in St. Edward from 1948 to 1951, when he purchased the business, operating it under the name of Koerber Grocery until 1972.
    He was a member of the St. Edward Commercial Club and fire department and the Knights of Columbus at Albion.
    Son of the late Peter and Nellie Skeels Koerber, he was born Jan. 24, 1917 in Keith county north of Sutherland. A 1937 graduate of St. Edward High School, he married Rose Miller on Dec. 26, 1939. They lived in Arizona and California, returning to St. Edward in 1948. She died in 1949.
    His second marriage was to Agnes Polzin at Lindsay on Jan. 23, 1950, and she survives.
    Also surviving are three sons, James of San Jose Calif., Dr. Rodney of Nebraska City and Alan of Travis AFB, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Virgie) Nelson of Genoa and Mrs. Clair (Susan) Carder of St. Edward; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Wilbur (Kathryn) Thomazin and Mrs. Earl (Dolores) Roberts, both of St. Edward; one brother, Franklin of Alhambra, Calif.
    His parents, two brothers, one sister and an infant son preceded him in death.

BURNS - John C. Burns, 89, of 1311 17th Street, died Saturday at Morys Haven after a short illness.
    The Rev. Regis Watts will officiate at funeral services, 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bonaventure Church, and burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. The body now lies in state at McKown Funeral Home where a Scripture service will be held at 8 p.m. today.
    He was born Feb. 22, 1894, at Platte Center, the son of Martin and Mary Grady Burns. He attended St. Joseph School, Platte Center High School, and Boyle's Business College in Omaha.
    Mr. Burns was married to Kathryn Fallon Sept. 30, 1908, at St. Patrick Church at O'Neill. They resided at Platte Center, where he engaged in the merchandising business for many years. In 1935 they moved to Columbus, and Mr. Burns was employed by Loup Public Power District util his retirement in 1960.
    He was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and the Holy Name Society.
    Surviving are one son, Robert of San Francisco, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Ed (Helen) Weber of Fairfield, Iowa, Mrs. R.C. (Marius) Philips of Albion, and Mrs. Harry (Rita) Shank of Columbus; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Anna Fleming of Irwin, Ida.
    He was preceded in death by his wife; son, James; two grandchildren; parents, five brothers and two sisters.

LOHR - Mrs. Ida Lohr, 92, Columbus, died Saturday at Morys Haven.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church by the Rev. B.F. Meschke, and burial will be in Columbus Cemetery. The body lies in state today and Tuesday morning at the Gass-Haney Funeral Chapel.
    The daughter of John E. and Augusta Gradoske Kaufmann, she was born May 6, 1881 in Seward County. She was graduated from __pton High School and State Normal School at Peru with a degree in teaching.
    She taught in Seward and Platte County schools, then in the Columbus schools prior to her marriage to Harry H. Lohr June 24, 1908, in Columbus. Mr. Lohr, a railroad conductor for Union Pacific, served as mayor here for nine years.
    Mrs. Lohr was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Immanual [sic] Sewing Circle. She was affiliated with Columbus Country Club, American Legion Auxiliary, Republican Women's Club, Izaak Walton Auxiliary and several social clubs.
    Surviving are one son, Elmer H. Lohr of Columbus; four grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, on Aug. 21, 1947; one son, Harry K. Lohr on Aug. 14, 1971; parents; five brothers, William, Henry, John Theodore, Edward and Herman; and three sisters, Louise Kaufmann, Mrs. Augusta Fontein and Mrs. Sophia Gass.

JENNY - Funeral rites for Mrs. Hulda Jenny, 86, of 1572 23rd Avenue, will be held Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church and Cemetery at Leigh. The Rev. David Nelson will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. services.
    The body will lie in state at Gass-Haney Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Sunday, and at church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday.
    Mrs. Jenny was born Nov. 3, 1887 to John and Sophie Schlotzhauer Hoessel of Leigh. Educated in Platte County schools, she married Henry Jenny on Jan. 19, 1916 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she was a lifetime member. They farmed near Leigh for many years.
    Preceded in death by her husband in 1971, Mrs. Jenny had lived in Columbus the last two years. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Geraldine) Iverson of Columbus; three grandchildren; one brother, Henry Hoessel of Columbus; two sisters, Mrs. L.W. Breese of Columbus and Mrs. A.N. Gerhold of Omaha.
    She was preceded in death by one grandson and these sisters and brothers; Mrs. Fred Hefti, Mrs. Herman Bruhn, Arthur, William and stepbrother, Gustave Hoessel.

KULA - Joseph Charles Kula Sr., 84, Rt. 3, Columbus, died Wednesday at his home after a lingering illness.
    Funeral rites are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church at Platte Center, with the Rev. John C. Starostka officiating, and burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery. The body is to lie in state after 1 p.m. Friday at McKown Funeral Home, where rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Friday.
    The son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanislaus Kula, he was born Sept. 28, 1889, in Polk county, and attended Polk County and Omaha schools. He was married to Lena Murray May 6, 1914, at St. Bonaventure Church in Columbus and they engaged in farming.
    The long-time Polk and Platte county resident is survived by one son, Joseph Kula Jr. of Platte Center; five grandchildren; two half brothers and two half sisters.
    He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; one brother, Tom; and two half brothers.

KORTE - Mrs. W. J. (Mathilda) Korte, 2821 10th Street, died Saturday at Behlen Community Hospital. She was 79.
    Funeral rites are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Rev. B.F. Meschke officiating, and burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, The body lies in state at Gass-Haney Funeral Home until noon Tuesday then at church from 1 to 2 p.m.
    Born March 20, 1894 in Platte County, Mrs. Korte was the daughter of Fred and Emma Wilken Cattau. She received her education in Platte County, where she spent most of her life, and married William J. Korte at St. John Lutheran Church, Shell Creek, April 24, 1912.
    Since 1945 she lived in Columbus where she was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, city Ladies Aid, LWML and Behlen Employes Credit Union Auxilliary.
    Preceded in death by her husband in 1953, she is survived by 10 children; Mrs. Harold (Alwine) Larsen, Mrs. Martin (Elsie) Wennekamp, Mrs. Mildred Wurdeman and Mrs. Floyd (Helen) Campbell, all of Columbus; Mrs. Glen (Gladys) Van Gorden of Alhambra, Calif.; Mrs. William (Luetta) Connelly of Arvada, Colo.; Henry of Burbank, Calif.; Herman of Indianapolis; Clarence of Pleasant Hill, Calif.; and Oliver of Minneapolis, Minn.
    Also surviving are two brothers, Herman F. and Siegfried Cattau, and one sister, Mrs. Paulina Loseke, all of Columbus; 30 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
    A son, Erwin, daughter, Elizabeth, two grandchildren and one sister preceded her in death.
    The family suggests memorials to Daily Devotions or the donor's choice.

KLOTZ - Funeral rites for Mrs. Mable Klotz, 87, of 953 26th Avenue will be conducted by the Rev. H.M. Rathkamp at 2 p.m. Monday in Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Columbus Cemetery.
    The body will lie in state at Gass-Haney Funeral Home, 1 p.m. Sunday to Noon Monday; at church, 1-2 p.m. Monday.
    Mrs. Klotz, who died Friday in Behlen Community Hospital was born Nov. 3, 1886 at Bellwood where she received her education. Her parents were Robert and Rebecca Cleland.
    She married Emil Klotz Sept. 2, 1908, and except for three years in California, she spent her life in the Bellwood-Columbus area. A former employe at Hotel Evans, she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid.
    Preceded in death by her husband in 1963, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Maudeline Rupprecht and Mrs. Alice Sokel, both of Columbus; one granddaughter, Mrs. Bert (Sandra) Zakrzewski of Cornell, Wis.; six great-grandchildren.
    Also preceding her in death were an infant son, Donald Ray; twin brother, George; sister Nora Burrow; half-brother, Jim Dearwester.

BROCKMAN - The Rev. A.J. Greer will officiate at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church for the funeral of Ted Brockman, 74, of 3512 13th Street.
    The body lies in state at Gass-Haney Funeral Home until time of the service. Burial will be in Columbus Cemetery.
    Mr. Brockman, who was an air mail messenger and longtime Columbus resident, died Sunday night at Methodist Hospital, Omaha.
    He was born Dec. 24, 1899 at Greeley, Colo., to Henry and Martha Keefer Brockman. He attended Creston schools and married Anna Mae Cherry, April 11, 1923 at the Federated Church in Columbus.
    Member of First Baptist Church, Mr. Brockman is survived by his wife; two children, Virgil of Columbus and Mrs. Fred (Virginia) Plumb of Papillion; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Henry of Fullerton and Ernest of Columbus; one sister Martha of Monroe.
    His parents and one sister preceded him in death.

JORDAN - Mrs. Louis (Ottilie) Jordan, 84, Rt. 2, Columbus, died Sunday morning at Behlen Community Hospital.
    The Rev. Francis Price will officiate at funeral services, 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Isidore Church, and burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. The body is to lie in state after 1 p.m. Tuesday at McKown Funeral Home, with rosary by Christian Mothers at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and parish rosary at 8 p.m.
    She was born Sept. 6, 1889, in Austria, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pumm, and came to the United States in 1920.
    On Oct. 18, 1920, she was married to Louis Jordan Sr. at St. Bonaventure Church, and spent her married life on a farm in Polk County. She was a member of St. Isidore Church and Christian Mothers.
    Surviving is one son, Arthur Jordan, Columbus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sept. 18, 1971; a son, Louie, in 1951; parents, two brothers and seven sisters.

BRUNKEN - Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Gass-Haney Funeral Chapel for Edward W. Brunken, 80, who died Wednesday night in Knoxville, Iowa. He was a former Platte County resident.
    The Rev. B.F. Meschke will officiate and burial will be in Columbus Cemetery with military graveside rites for the World War I veteran. His body lies in state at the funeral chapel.
    Son of John and Johanna Plath Brunken, he was born Nov. 23, 1893 in Platte County, where he attended rural school and Christ Lutheran Parochial School.
    He served in the Army's 18th Field Artillery, Sept. 9, 1917 to Sept. 24, 1919, with duty in France.
    Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Herman (Louise) Karlin, Mrs. Anna Roesch, and one brother, Emil Brunken, all of Columbus.
    He was preceded in death by six brothers, one sister, also an infant brother and sister.

BOHATY - Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Luke United Methodist Church, David City, for Frank Bohaty Jr., 24, Columbus, who died in a one-car accident in Butler County Tuesday evening.
    The Rev. Richard Dinsdale will officiate at the funeral. Burial will be in David City Cemetery under the direction of David City Memorial Chapel.
    Son of Frank and Betty Legler Bohaty, he was born Aug. 19, 1949 in Columbus. He spent most of his life at David City, where he was graduated from the public high school and married Carol Ball, June 7, 1969. They recently moved to Columbus where he had been employed by Oldfathers Tire Co. for nearly a year.
    Surviving are his wife; daughter, Sheila; parents and brother, Mark of David City; sister, Mrs. Barbara Pollard of Schuyler; grandmothers, Mrs. Ruby Legler of Schuyler and Mrs. Maggie Bohaty of Octavia.

LONG - Vincent A. Long, 57, 2618 20th Street, died Friday night at Behlen Community Hospital. Funeral services will be Monday, April 8 at 1:30 p.m.; at First United Methodist Church with Rev. J. Graydon Wilson officiating. The body will lie in state after 1 p.m. Sunday at the McKown Funeral Home and after 12:30 p.m. at the church on Monday.

LONG - Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church for Vincent A. Long, 58, of 2618 20th Street.
    A mail carrier for 25 years, Mr. Long died Friday in Behlen Community Hospital after an illness of several months.
    Officiating at the funeral was the Rev. J. Graydon Wilson, with McKown Funeral Home in charge. Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
    Mr. Long was born Nov. 15, 1915 at Palisade, Neb., to George L. and Maude Marquissee Long. Graduated from Columbus High School, he attended Northwestern University in Chicago and worked for Western Electric in Chicago, returning to Columbus in 1946 after a tour of military duty.
    He served with the Army's 1580 Southern Command Unit during World War II and was a member of the American Legion. He was affiliated with National Association of Letter Carriers, Branch 1043; was a member of the Methodist Church and former member of Elks Country Club and Eagles Lodge.
    Surviving are his wife; sons, Donald L. of Lincoln, Robert N., Thomas M., Allen A.; two granddaughters, Stephanie and Rachelle; three sisters, Mrs. ____ [remainder not copied]

JANICEK - Frank Janicek, 79, of 3717 13th Street, died Saturday at Columbus Manor.
    The Rev. Francis Price will officiate at funeral services, 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Isidore Catholic Church, and burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. The body lies in state at McKown Funeral Home, where rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. today.
    He was born Dec. 15, 1894 in Polk County, the son of Frank and Anna Jaax Janicek, and resided on a farm north of Shelby. He retired from farming in 1943, but continued to work in the Shelby and Leigh area.
    Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Anna Bruckner, Columbus; nephews and nieces, Leland Bruckner of Shelby, Harold Bruckner of Beemer, and Alfred Zipper of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Walter (Lorene) Mick of Bellwood, Mrs. Kenneth (Irene) Oakeson of Columbus, Mrs. Verleen Schilz of Palos Verdes, Calif., and Mrs. Lillian Foy of Dallas, Tex.; 22 grandnieces and nephews; 11 great grand-nieces and nephews.
    Mr. Janicek was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John, Dec. 30, 1973, and another in infancy; sisters, Gusta Alt and Lucy Zipper; nephews Roy and Lester Zipper.

LUCKEY - Mrs. Louis (Nellie) Luckey, 82, of 1875 28th Avenue, died Thursday night at Columbus Manor. Services are set for 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church with burial in Columbus Cemetery. Visitation, 1 p.m. Sunday to noon Monday at Gass-Haney Funeral Chapel and 1-2 p.m.. Monday at church.

LUCKEY - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church for Mrs. Nellie Irene Luckey, 82, lifetime resident of this community. She died Thursday evening at Columbus Manor where she resided the last four years.
    Officiating at the funeral will be the Rev. J. Graydon Wilson, with burial in Columbus Cemetery. Her body will lie in state at Gass-Haney Funeral Home from 1 p.m. Sunday until noon, Monday, then at church from 1 to 2 p.m.
    Born April 28, 1892 at Bellwood to John R. and Ida M. Taylor, she was baptized at the Columbus Methodist Church of which she was a lifetime member. In her youth she was a member of the Methodist Church choir, a Sunday school teacher and active in the youth group of the church.
    After attending the Columbus elementary and high schools, she worked in the Gray Department Store. She married Louis C. Luckey on July 9, 1917 at the Methodist Church and they farmed three miles east of Columbus until moving to town in 1941. Mrs. Luckey was employed several years as a saleslady for J.C. Penney Co.
    The Luckeys celebrated the golden wedding anniversary in 1967, and he died in March, 1970.
    She is survived by two sons, Edward of Columbus, Paul of Wahoo and one granddaughter, Carol of Columbus. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter and one sister, Mrs. Daisy Buschman.

LOVELESS - A World War II veteran, John F. Loveless, 754 19th Avenue, died Sunday at the Veterans Hospital in Omaha after an illness of two months. He was 59.
    Services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at McKown Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Laurin Buzynski officiating, and burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery with military graveside rites. His body will lie in state at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
    An employe of the Montgomery Ward Co. for 26 years, Mr. Loveless was born Aug. 14, 1914 at Bellwood and attended school at Richland. Except for military service in the South Pacific, he spent his lifetime in this community. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3704.
    He is survived by his wife, the former Helen Schneider; son, John R. of Columbus; daughter, Mrs. Dale (Jacylyn) Harbison of Schuyler; step-son, John Schneider, and step-daughter, Mrs. Clesson (Kay) Wright, both of Omaha; 11 grandchildren; his mother, Ida Loveless of Columbus Manor; two brothers, Joe and Perry Jr., and two sisters, Mrs. Ronald (Frances) Jacobs and Mrs. Adolph (Marietta) Hanak, all of Columbus.
    Preceding him in death were his father, Perry A.; two brothers, Ernest and Peter; one sister, Mrs. Elmer (Emma) Henry.

BROOKS - Funeral rites for Walter G. Brooks, 68, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church with the Rev. Regis Watts officiating. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
    There will be rosary at 7 p.m. today and Scripture service at 7:30 p.m. at McKown Funeral Home where the body lies in state.
    Mr. Brooks, who was retired, died unexpectedly Friday at home, 2070 25th Avenue.
    He was born July 16, 1905 at Cogswell, N.D.; attended St. John Academy, Fargo, N.D.; and married Beatrice Fritscher Oct. 24, 1933 at Heron Lake, Minn. They lived at Sherburn, Minn., until moving to Columbus in 1955.
    He was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and Holy Name Society.
    Surviving are his wife; six children, Mrs. Aldon (Joanne) Ohnstad of Fargo, N.D., Thomas of Kansas City, Mo., Gale of Vancouver, Wash., Leo, Mrs. Janice Tylle and Mrs. James (Bonnie) Bothe of Columbus; two sisters, Mrs. Al Klinkhammer of Janesville, Minn., Mrs. Henry Kersting of Cogswell, N.D.; 13 grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mary Stein Brooks; five brothers; one sister and two grandchildren.

KLUCK - Mrs. A. Glen (Georgianne) Kluck, 54, Richland, died Saturday in Schuyler Memorial Hospital.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church with burial in Roselawn Cemetery; the Rev. H.M. Rathkamp officiated and Gass-Haney Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
    Daughter of Herman and Emma Hoessel Bruhn, she was born June 17, 1919 at Leigh, and was a lifetime resident of this area. She was graduated from Columbus High School in 1936. On Aug. 4, 1940 she married A. Glenn Kluck at Salem Lutheran Church, Fremont.
    Mrs. Kluck was controller of currency for the A. Glenn Kluck Feedlots and was first secretary of the Cornhusker Ne..(?) Council.
    Confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, she was an organizer of the Builders' Club, head of the coffee hour at church for many years, a former teacher and music director of the Bible School. The family suggests memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church or the donor's choice.
    Surviving are her husband; two sons, Garry of Columbus and Galen of Richland; one daughter, Mrs. Mario S. (Genene) Sepulveda of Caracas, Venezuela; one granddaughter, Krisine Kluck of Columbus. Her parents preceded her in death.

JANICEK - Mrs. Rudolph (Justena) Janicek, 88, of 3316 16th Street, died Thrusday evening at Behlen Hospital after an illness of six weeks.
    The Rev. Francis Price will officiate at funeral services, 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Isidore Catholic Church, and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Butler County. The body is to lie in state after 1 p.m. Sunday at McKown Funeral Home, where rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
    She was born Sept. 24, 1885, at Bellwood, the daughter of John and Anna Flaxel, and attended Butler County schools.
    On May 5, 1903, she was married to Rudolph Janicek at St. Joseph Church, Butler County. They farmed in Butler County until retiring to Columbus in 1932.
    Mrs. Janicek, a member of St. Isidore Church, had been affiliated with Franciscan Missionary Union, Christian Mothers, and Friendly Neighbors.
    She is survived by one son, Cyrus Janicek of Shelby; two daughters, Mrs. Roy (Camilla) Grossnicklaus of Osceola and Mrs. Harold (Verona) Ebel of Columbus; 16 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Albert (Bertha) Schelby of Columbus.
    Preceding her in death were her husband; two sons, Sylvester, and Lloyd in infancy; one daughter, Isabelle; parents, two brothers and five sisters.

    She was born April 20, 1904 in Butler County to Bernard and Anna Fiedler Rathje. Educated in Butler and Nance Counties, she married Henry R. Borneman, June 16, 1930 at Albion, and had since lived in Columbus, where she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
    Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Margaret) Keholm of Omaha and Mrs. Eugene (Evelyn) Muller of Columbus; two brothers, Walter of Fremont and Hubert of Belgrade. Her parents and brother, Arthur Rathje of Belgrade preceded her in death.

BRUNKEN - Mrs. Elmer (LaVerna) Brunken, 58, of 3310 Brunken Street, died Friday night in Behlen Community Hospital.
    A 1:45 p.m. prayer service and 2 p.m. funeral service were held today at Highland Park Evangelical Free Chruch. Officiating were the Rev. Roy Anderson and Rev. Carl Weisser. Burial was in Columbus Cemetery under the direction of Gass-Haney Funeral Home.
    Daughter of William and Wilhelmina Behlen Lange, she was born March 20, 1916 in Platte County, attended District 35 School and was graduated from Columbus High School. Except for a few years that she worked at a nursing home in Chicago, her life was spent in this area.
    She married Elmer Brunken in April, 1947, at the First Baptist Church, Fremont. Baptized at Shell Creek Baptist Church, Mrs. Brunken later became a member of Highland Park Free Church and Women's Missionary Circle 2.
    Suviving [sic] are three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Holdeman of Auburn, Ind., Edna Lange and Gertrude Gerrelts of Columbus; two brothers, Gus and Bert Lange of Columbus; 17 nieces and nephews.
    Her husband died Dec. 3, 1969. Her parents and one nephew also preceded her in death.

    Mrs. Kinzer was born Aug. 8, 1903 at Genoa, daughter of Fred and Mary Jane McFarlane Bader. She attended Albion and Columbus schools and married Leo Kinzer, March 10, 1920 at Albion. They lived in Albion and Shelby before moving to Columbus in 1942.
    Selected "Columbus Mother of the Year" in 1963, Mrs. Kinzer was a retired employe of the Junior High cafeteria and was formerly employed by the bus depot. She was a member of United Methodist Church.
    Her husband died Dec. 5, 1973. She is survived by five sons and 10 daughters: Ralph of Greeley, Colo.; Charles, Hartzel and Beloit of Columbus; Don of Denver; Mrs. Harold (Barbara) Schroeder of Buena Park, Calif.: Mrs. DeLaine (Geneva) Johnson of Denver; Mrs. Rudy (Virginia) Micek, Mrs. Tom (Beverly) Dischner of Rawlins, Wyo.; Mrs. Harry (Sharon) Heller of Lingle, Wyo.; Mrs. Curt (Judy) Harouff of Stamford, Neb.; Mrs. Rusell (Lula) Hopkins of Bellwood; Mrs. Anthony (Della) Bernecki, Mrs. Mary Johnson and Mrs. Ardith Redler of Columbus.
    Also surviving are two sisters and one brother, Edith Kneifel of Columbus, Mrs. George (Mary) Patrick and Albert Bader of Albion; 46 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
    Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Don (Myrna) Kissell; five grandchildren; a son-in-law and a daughter-in-law.

    He was married to Alvina Loseke Feb. 19, 1930 and they moved to a farm east of Columbus in Platte County where he farmed until 1971 when they moved to Columbus.
    A retired farmer, he was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
    Survivors include his widow; two sons, Eldon and Ervin of Columbus; two daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Leona) Loeffler and Chameberlin [sic], both of Columbus; a sister, Mrs. Henry Dehning of Columbus, and 10 grandchildren.

KUMMER - Miss Pauline Rosa Kummer, 77, 1060 21st Avenue, died at her home Thursday after two years of illness.

    The body will live in state at Gass-Haney Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at the church.
    A Columbus resident since 1915, she was born March 8, 1897, in Loup township to John G. and Maria Egger Kummer. She attended school in Duncan and was a beauty operator in Columbus for nearly 35 years.
    A member of St. Luke United Church of Christ, she made her home with her father who moved to Columbus in 1915 after retiring from farming.
    She was a member of Rebekah Lodge and served as past noble grand and past district officer. She was a past district oracle of Royal Neighbors and a member of American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a member of Degree of Honor.
    Surviving her are two brothers, Arthur W. Kummer of Columbus and John Kummer of Monroe; a sister, Martha M. Boss of Silver Creek; five nieces and six nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, brother William and three sisters, Ida, Emma and Mathilda.
    Memorials may be given to St. Luke Church or Gruetli Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.

KOESTER - Services for Paul J. Koester, of Wiesbaden, Germany, father of two Columbus residents, were held today in Germany.
    Mr. Koester, 81, died in Germany June 17. He was born Jan. 18, 1893 in Buethen, Germany.

    Surviving are one son, Richard Kusek of Denver, Colo.; three daughters, Rose Messing of Fairfield Bay, Ark., Elizabeth Kusek of Columbus and Angeline of Omaha; three grandchildren Rosemary Donovan of Loveland, Colo., James Messing of Greeley, Colo., and Ronald Messing of Omaha; and seven great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his wife; daughters Loretta and Valeria; parents, brothers and sisters. One brother, Thomas was also a farmer near Spalding.

    Mr. Ball came to Columbus following service in World War II. While living here he was an automobile dealer several years. He was a Master Mason and Shriner, belonging to the Pawnee Shrine Club.

    Resident of Columbus most of his life, Jim was a guitar-vocalist in many combos, including the Echoes, Sonics, Beautiful People and Vandells.
    He was recently living with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E.M. Brouse, 4829 Leighton, Lincoln.
    Jim was a 1967 graduate of Columbus High School, where he was a gymnast and King of Hearts. His father, Harold, now of Rapid City, S.D., formerly operated Harold's TV in Columbus and was employed by Gamble's.
    His mother, Jerene McCarty lives in Allerton, Iowa. Also surviving are a brother, Don of Manhattan, Kan., sisters, Kathie of Leon, Iowa, Betty of Fort Lupton, Colo., and Barbara of Allerton, Iowa.

BULLER - Henry W. Buller, 97, 1908 16th Street, died Tuesday at Columbus Manor after a three-week illness. Longtime resident of this community, he was a retired leather dealer and harness maker.

    Mr. Buller was born Oct. 30, 1876 at Fairbury, Ill., the son of Wendellin and Dorothy (Wolpers) Buller. He married Mabel E. Gunderson, Sept. 9, 1908 at Fremont, and had lived in Columbus more than half a century.
    A member of St. Bonaventure Church and Holy Name Society, he was an honorary life member of Knights of Columbus Council 938, which he joined in 1908 and served as grand knight 1942-45.
    Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. LaRoy V. (Marjorie) Campbell of Lincoln; one grandson, Lorn Mark Campbell of Lincoln; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Meta Buller of Billings, Mont.; nieces and nephews.

    The body lies in state today at Gass-Haney Funeral Home; 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
    Mr. Boss, who died Tuesday in Behlen Community Hospital, was born in Platte County March 20, 1892, son of John and Emma (Hoffman) Boss. He was baptized in the German Reformed Church and spent his early life in this vicinity.
    On Dec. 31, 1918 he married Rose Johansen at Columbus. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1967.
    Mr. Boss farmed in Platte and Polk Counties until retiring in 1957. For the last 18 years he was an Acco seed dealer.
    Surviving are his widow; three daughters and one son, Mrs. Louis (Eileen) Engberg of Monroe, Mrs. William (Jean) Will, Mrs. Fred (Jalee) Dotson and Daniel Boss, all of Columbus; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Nellie Johansen of Osceola; one brother, Edward of Monroe.
    His parents, two sisters and five brothers preceded him in death.

BERNT - Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbus for Roy Bernt, 62, of 1365 32nd Avvenue, who died Friday at Behlen Community Hospital following three months of illness, including brain surgery at Mayo Clinic last June 14.
    The Rev. Hugo Rathkamp will officiate and burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery. The body will lie in state after 1 p.m. Sunday until noon Monday at McKown Funeral Home, and from 1 p.m. until time of services at the church.
    The owner and operator of Bernt Sport Shop, he was the son of William and Mary Hasselbalch Bernt, born July 23, 1912 in Polk County. He attended Columbus High School and was married to Viola Janssen April 24, 1937 in Aurora. An avid sportsman, he was a member of Izaak Walton. He also was a memmber of the Chamber of Commerce and Trinity Lutheran Church.
    His widow, Viola, survives him.
    Preceding him in death were his parents, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Bernt of Columbus and Mr. and Mrs. Emil Hasselbalch of Shelby.
    Memorial are to be directed to Trinity Lutheran Memorial Fund.

BEHLE - Mrs. Herman (Hilda) Behle, 58, died Tuesday at Behlen Community Hospital.
    The Revs. M.W. Goldhammer and B.F. Meschke will officiate at funeral services, 2 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church following a 1:45 prayer service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
    The body is to lie in state after 1 p.m. Thursday until noon Friday at Gass-Haney Funeral Home, then at the church from 1-2 p.m.
    She was born in Platte County Oct. 2, 1915, the daughter of Theodore and Tena Rosendahl Berends and attended St. John School. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Church, where she was married to Herman Behle on Feb. 21, 1939. They made their home north of Columbus.
    A member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, she was currently serving as secretary of the Country Ladies Aid. She was a former member of Immanuel choir, and former zone treasurer of the LWML.
    Surviving are her husband; one son, Vernon L. Behle, and one daughter, Mrs. Marvin J. (Karen) Wurdeman, Columbus; five grandchildren; three brothers, Martin Berends of Columbus, Lewis of Mt. Vernon, Iowa, and Elmer of Platte Center; three sisters, Emma Berends, Mrs. Faldean (Agnes) Lagler of Grant, and Mrs. H.R. (Norma) Lavender of Riverside, Calif.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Walter Berends, and one sister, Mrs. Frank (Louise) Lilienthal of Columbus.
    The family suggests memorials to the donor's choice.

    Married to Alice Bernt, Aug. 4, 1962, in Columbus, he is survived by his wife; three brothers, Edward of North Platte, Walter of North Stonington, Conn., and Thomas of Omaha; six sisters, Mrs. Norman (Frances) Haynes of San Francisco, Mrs. Harold (Ann) Hanson of Long Beach, Calif., Rose of Norfolk, Mrs. Walter (Catherine) Miller, Mrs. Clara Lassek and Mrs. Marion (Margaret) Mielak of Columbus.

KLUVER - Henry H. Kluver, 66, Platte Center, died Tuesday at Behlen Community Hospital after an illness of 10 days.
    The Rev. R.B. Turner will officiate at funeral rites, 2 p.m. Friday at McKown Funeral Chapel in Columbus, and burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. The body lies in state after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
    He was born Nov. 12, 1907 at Platte Center, the son of Herman and Mary Brunken Kluver, and attended District 22 School. He was married to Verna Hoessel Dec. 17 1935 at St. Paul Lutheran Church at Leigh.
    With the exception of four years in California, Mr. Kluver had resided in Platte Center. He was a representative for Pioneer Seed Corn Company.
    A member of Zion Lutheran Church at Platte Center, he served on the school board of District 22 and was affiliated with the Platte Center Lions Club.
    Survivors include his wife; son, Michael, Fremont; daughter, Barbara Welch, Richland; four grandsons and one granddaughter; brother Walt and Alfred of Columbus; and sisters Mrs. Shirley Morgan and Mrs. Dot Pollard, Columbus.
    He was preceded in death by parents; brother, Roy; sisters, Mrs. Fred (Alma) Krueger, Mrs. Herman (Mabel) Goering and Bertha Kluver.
    The family suggests memorials be directed to the Heart Fund or Zion Lutheran Church, Platte Center.

KINGSTON - Funeral services for Mrs. E.J. (Faye) Kingston, 79, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at McKown Funeral Chapel.
    Officiating will be Rev. J. Graydon Wilson, and burial will be in Columbus Cemetery. The body now lies in state at the funeral home.
    Mrs. Kingston, of Heritage House, died Tuesday morning at Morys Haven. She had been ill the past four months.
    The daughter of Paul and Gertrude Hughes Elsinger, she was born at Pender May 11, 1895. She was married to Ernest J. Kingston Nov. 19, 1922, at Dakota City, and resided at Platte Center until moving to Columbus in 1940.
    Mrs. Kingston was a member of First United Methodist Church. The family requests that memorials be directed to the church.
    Surviving are three sons, Darrell B. Kingston of Columbus, Kenneth of Broken Bow and R. Dick of Lafayette, Ind.; one daughter, Mrs. Art. W. (Wilma) McAuliff of Columbus; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, on Feb. 22, 1973, and her parents.

KUSEK - Mrs. Joe M. (Vera) Kusek, 75, of 1665 18th Avenue, died this morning in Behlen Community Hospital after an illness of two years.
    The Rev. Flavius Czuba will officiate at 10 a.m. Saturday services at St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at McKown Funeral Home where the body will lie in state after 1 p.m. Friday.
    Mrs. Kusek was born June 27, 1899, to Adam and Ann Pier of Tarnov and attended school there. Married to Joe M. Kusek, Nov. 24, 1920 at Tarnov, she lived at Elyria, Ord and Hastings before coming to Columbus in 1971. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Parish.
    Survivors include her husband; four sons, Lawrence, Richard and Eugene of Chicago, Leonard of Springfield, Va.; one daughter, Mrs. Bill (Adeline) Beechan of West Palm Beach, Fla.; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
    One brother and six sisters also survive; Pete Pier of Spalding; Mrs. Sophie Mostek of Utah; Mrs. Josephine Smollen of Denver; Agnes Pier of Columbus; Mrs. John (Marian) Winslow of Detroit; Mrs. Ben (Helen) Berchold of Chicago; Cecilia Pier of Michigan.
    Her parents, two brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

LOSEKE - A lifetime Platte County resident, Walter L. Loseke 84, of Columbus, died Saturday night at Haven House in Omaha.
    Service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Rev. B.F. Meschke officiating. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery. The body will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at the Gass-Haney Funeral Home and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
    The son of Fritz and Minna Arndt Loseke, he was born in Platte County May 17, 1890 and attended District 10 and Christ Lutheran schools. He was married March 5, 1913 to Edna Schmidt at Immanuel Lutheran Church by the Rev. Herman Miessler.
    A retired farmer, he was a Platte County supervisor 12 years, one of the organizers of the Platte County Agricultural Society, director of REA, member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of which he served as elder, and a member of the school board.
    Surviving him are three daughters, Mrs. Howard (Dorothy) Abel of Fairfax, Va., Mrs. Walter (Margarie) Boettcher of Concord, Calif., Mrs. Tom (Ruth Faye) Brock of Omaha; two brothers, Edwin and Larenz of Columbus; four sisters, Mrs. Henry (Alvina) Barjenbruch of Leigh, Mrs. Walter (Ida) Reese of Columbus, Mrs. George (Leona) Lehr of Columbus and Mrs. Elmer (Selma) Gaver of Columbus; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, a sister Mrs. Carl Reins, and a grandson Walter Boettcher Jr.

    He was a member of Knights of Columbus and St. Bonaventure Church.

LOVELESS - Mrs. Ida Loveless, 83, ill the last three months, died this morning in Behlen Community Hospital. She had been a resident of Richland from 1922 until entering Columbus Manor two years ago.
    Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, the Rev. Regis Watts officiating. Rosary service will be 7 p.m. Sunday at McKown Funeral Home where the body will lie in state after 1 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
    Born March 12, 1891, in Dodge County, she was the daughter of Ferdinand and Emma Hoffman Rumery. She attended rural school in Dodge County and married Perry A. Loveless Sr. at Schuyler, Jan. 6, 1909.
    Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Perry Jr., Joe, Mrs. Ronald (Frances) Jacobs and Mrs. Adolph (Marietta) Hanak, all of Columbus; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchidren and four sisters.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Sept. 18, 1965; three sons, Ernest, Peter and John; one daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Emma) Henry; three grandchildren; one great-grandchildren [sic]; several brothers and sisters.

KLAVE - Arrangements are pending at McKown Funeral Home for Michael D. Klave, 28, who died in a traffic accident Tuesday night.

KRAFKA - Funeral services were held Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison for Josef Krafka, 73, or [sic] rural Madison, who died at his home Saturday.
    The Rev. William P. Arnold officiated and burial was at Crown Hill Cemetery. Madison.
    The son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Krafka, he was born Feb. 4, 1901 in Platte County and moved with his parents to a farm southeast of Madison in Stanton County.
    A skilled mechanic and blacksmith, he served in the Armed Forces during World War II.
    Survivors include two sisters, Agnes Krafka at home, and Mrs. Walter (Antonia) Schmiedcke of Madison; two brothers, Anton of Culver City, Calif., and Peter at home, and two nieces.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister in infancy.

KLAVE - Last rites for Michael Dean Klave, 28, of 958 26th Avenue, Columbus, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at McKown Funeral Chapel.
    Officiating will be the Rev. Charles Potocki, and burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. The body now lies in state at the funeral home.
    Mr. Klave was killed Tuesday night in a two-car accident on Highway 30 near Columbus.
    He was born Oct. 18, 1946, in LeMars, Iowa, the son of Marvin and Alvina Willer Klave, and was married to Patricia C. Cech here on July 24, 1971.
    An employe of Spencer Foods Inc. at Schuyler, Mr. Klave had served with the U.S. Army in Germany.
    A Catholic, Mr. Klave is survived by his wife; parents of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; and two brothers, Clyde of Sutherland, Iowa and Dale of Cherokee, Iowa. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jody and a brother Rodney.

    Mrs. Bienz, a native of Platte County, died Thursday evening at Behlen Community Hospital.
    She was born June 12, 1881, the daughter of Frederick and Louise Plageman Meedel, and was married to Emil Bienz May 12, 1909. They farmed near Monroe until 1920, then 12 miles southwest of Columbus. Mrs. Bienz moved to Columbus in 1965.
    A lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, she was a member of Immanuel Circle and Friendly Neighbors.
    Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Albert (Ella) Inselman of Columbus, with whom she made her home; one son, Lawrence of Milwaukee; four grandsons, Gary and Gordon Inselman of Columbus, Tim and Richard Beinz of Milwaukee; and two great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1939; parents, three brothers and one sister.
    The family suggests that memorials be directed to Daily Devotions or Immanuel Lutheran Church.

KOZIOL - Blaser Koziol, 65, of 1510 9th Street, died Saturday evening at Behlen Community Hospital. He had been ill the past two and a half months.
    Last rites are set for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bonaventure Church, with the Rev. Charles Potocki officiating, and burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery (Pilsno) in Polk county. The body now lies in state at McKown Funeral Home, where there will be rosary at 7 p.m. today and Scripture service at 7:30.
    The son of Joseph and Jann Boruch Koziol, he was born Dec. 15, 1908, in Polk County and was graduated from Osceola High School. He farmed in Polk county and the last 17 years was employed by Behlen Manufacturing Company, in the sheet metal department.
    A Member of St. Bonaventure church, Mr. Koziol is survived by one sister, Mrs. Angeline Gaver of Columbus; three brothers, Albin and Emil of Osceola and Joseph R. of Grand Island; nieces and nephews.
    His parents preceded him in death.

LEGENZA - Louis Legenza, 62, of Rt. 4, Columbus, died unexpectedly Friday evening in Behlen Community Hospital.
    Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Laurin Buzynski at 3 p.m. today at the McKown Funeral Chapel and at St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
    Born March 1, 1912, at Columbus, Mr. Legenza was a laborer and had spent his life in Columbus and Minnesota.
    He is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Cecilia Faust, Mrs. Walter (Mary) Rieder, Mrs. Clarence (Lillian) Pittman, Mrs. Stanley (Helen) Socha, all of Columbus, and Mrs. David (Gene) Fought of North Platte.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob A. and Clara Cybulski Legenza; brothers, Julius, Felix and John; infant sister, Josie.

BLOCKER - A former Columbus resident, Mrs. Clarence H. (Esther M.) Blocker, 57, died Saturday in an Omaha hospital.
    She is survived by her husband, of 1929 South 18th Street, Omaha; three daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Beverly) Boyd of Columbus, Mrs. Brian (Nancy) Shinrock and Mrs. Frederick (Deborah) Drum, both of Omaha; father, William H. Johannes of Superior, Neb.; brother, William Johannes of Omaha; two sisters, Gladys Johnson of Chester and Elaine Madsen of Superior; eight grandchildren.
    Services will be 2 p.m Tuesday at Dworak Mortuary, Omaha, the Rev. Norman Rothe officiating. Another service is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Kinsley Funeral Home, Marysville, Kan., with burial in Marysville Cemetery.
    The family prefers memorials to Cross Lutheran Church, Omaha.

BORUCH - A World War II veteran, Frank N. Boruch, 59, died unexpectedly at home, 2321 Fourth Street.

    Born Sept. 2, 1915, in Columbus, he spent his lifetime here, except for service in the Navy, October, 1943, to March, 1945.

    He married Betty Walgren, March 5, 1950, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Columbus, and farmed at Platte Center until moving to Columbus last July.
    He served on the board of directors of the Platte County Feeders Association and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
    Surviving are his wife; son, Jerry of Platte Center; parents and brothers, Dale and Lloyd of Platte Center; sister, Mrs. Bob (Leola) Beckstorm of Tulsa, Okla.
    The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
