JONES--Pneumonia Brings Death To C. C. Jones, Local Business Man
    Proprietor of 12th Street Bakery Had Been in Business Here Nearly 40 Years.
    Chas. C. Jones, proprietor of the Jones bakery in Twelfth street, the oldest master baker in Columbus, died at Columbus hospital at 2 p.m. today, following an illness of more than 11 months' duration.
    Death was due to pneumonia which developed several days ago when he was preparing to undergo an operation for a chronic trouble that had been undermining his health for early a year.
    No arrangements for the funeral had been made at The Telegram press hour.
    Mr. Jones was a native of Missouri where he was born March 12, 1866. He learned the bakery business during his young manhood, and for nearly 40 years conducted a bakery and confectionery store in Columbus.
    He was twice married. His first wife, Martella Novell, to whom he was married in 1866 [sic], passed away in 1892. One son was born to them, Chas. C. Jones, jr. The year following the death of his first wife, Mr. Jones married her sister, Carrie Novell. Seven children were born to them, four of whom survive him. They are Herbert, Martin, Delbert and Carroll Jones, all of Columbus.
    Besides his wife and five sons, Mr. Jones leaves his aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Jones, of Modesta, Calif., and four brothers and two sisters - Walter, at Denver; Martin, at Hiawatha, Kans.; Will and Arthur, at Modesta, Calif.; Miss Effie Jones, at Santa Monica, Calif., and Ettie, at Oakland, Neb.
    Mr. Jones was a member of the A.O.U.W. lodge.

WESTMEYER--West Palm Beach: Aged Victim of Influenza.
    Grandma Westmeyer, who has been ill three weeks with the flu, died Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Pneumonia set in which caused her death. She died at the home of her son, Fred, near Oconee. The body was brought to Genoa Monday evening. She was 79 years and four months old at the time of her death. She had been making her home with her children. Five children mourn her departure. They are: Fred, of near Oconee; Henry, of near Gothenburg, and William of South Dakota; Mrs. Louis Meyer, of Columbus, and Mrs. Herman Bokleman, of Genoa; also two brothers of Columbus, August and George Kirkman, and one sister, Mrs. Koster, of Battle Creek, Neb. Henry Westmeyer and Mrs. Koster arrived Monday evening. Funeral services will be held in Genoa and burial in Valley View cemetery.

CHRISTENSEN--Jens Christensen passed away on Thursday night at 11 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Andrew Anderson. His death, due to the infirmities of old age, was a shock to relatives and friends. Mr. Christensen was born Mar. 25, 1833, at Gylland [Jylland], Denmark. On July 1, 1859, he was united in marriage to Miss Siena Peterson of the same country and they came to this country direct from Denmark in 1879. Mrs. Christensen preceded her husband in death June 24, 1924. Four children were born to them, Mrs. Andrew Peterson, Mrs. Andrew Anderson, Mike [Mikkel] Christensen, living in this community, and Mrs. Martin Christensen, of Long Beach, Cal. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Danish Lutheran Church, of which he had been a faithful and active member. Rev Stranskov preached the funeral sermon to a large audience of sorrowing friends and relatives. The body was laid to rest beside that of his wife in the church cemetery.

HEBDA--Death Due to Anemia - Anemia, with which she had suffered nine years and which had rendered her bedfast two months, caused the death of Mrs. Antonia Hebda, wife of John Hebda, Sixth street and Twenty- fifth avenue, at St. Mary’s hospital at 5:30 a.m. today. She had been in the hospital in a serious condition the last 10 days. Mrs. Hebda was born in Poland in 1894. Her marriage to Mr. Hebda took place at Elyria, Neb., in 1911. They moved to Columbus from Ord two years ago. Besides her husband she leaves a daughter, Valeria, a son, Frank, and her father, Joseph Persak, the latter residing at Ord; also three brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Fr. Knute at St. Anthony’s church at 9 a.m. Saturday.
